Meet this year’s Design & Analysis leads, Yifan and Mariana!

Yifan is in his fifth year and Mariana is in her fourth year of civil engineering. This is both their second year on Seismic!

Outside of school, you can find Yifan taking photos or playing games, and Mariana at a badminton court or crocheting.

They look forward to presenting the team’s tower design and innovative damper at Portland this year.

Meet our 2025 Construction Leads: Josh and Sandeep!

They’re both third-year Civil Engineering students, with Josh in his third year on the team and Sandeep in his second.

When they’re not in the classroom, you can catch Josh at the baseball diamond and Sandeep out on the soccer field. ⚾⚽

They are excited to lead the subteam in sharpening their construction skills for this year’s highly anticipated tower, all while fostering a collaborative team culture along the way!

On October 29th, Seismic joined forces with Concrete Canoe, Concrete Toboggan, and Civil Club to organize and host Sponsorship Appreciation Night!

We would like to sincerely thank our generous sponsors for their incredible, consistent support for the team. They are the reason we can continue to grow and improve every year, and we rely on their contributions to continue expanding our reach to more and more students. It was amazing to hear from Ashraf on his thoughts about happiness and the importance of empowering the new generation of engineers. The team looks forward to seeing him again at the Seismic Design Competition next year!
