3D scanning has exposed us to some incredible projects in some fascinating industries. Recently, we had the pleasure of 3D scanning and Revit modelling a slice of HarbourAir Seaplanes historical hangar at Vancouver International Airport South Terminal, built in 1930. This gave the project team at Colliers Project Leaders, Grout McTavish Architects and Bush, Bohlman & Partners a closer look at the required details needed for future upgrades. The data captured and modelled removed the need for any second guessing and allowed the team to design off of real world conditions rather than assumptions or outdated and inaccurate drawings.
