Today a customer contacted us with a very unusual request.

He asked us to install a Craftsman garage door opener manufactured back in 1999. The amazing part? He bought it around 27 years ago, never installed it, and it stayed untouched in the original store packaging all these years.

After his even older opener finally stopped working, he decided it was time to try the “new” one — and called us for the installation.

Honestly, this was one of the most enjoyable installations we’ve done. The opener was incredibly well preserved, built like old-school equipment should be, and everything worked beautifully.

Even more surprising — the original battery inside the remote was still working. The remote responded immediately on the very first button press after sitting unused for 27 years.
