We are very excited with the results of this study. Current topical atopic dermatitis drugs have limited efficacy or are approved for short-term use only due to potential side effects. There is a real need for safe and effective topical treatments for mild to moderate atopic dermatitis. We believe that DB-007-5 will help fill that void.

We are excited to announce that we have begun a 3-month preclinical study to assess the protective and preventive activities of three Derm-Biome compounds in a UV exposure-induced skin aging model designed to mimic the damaging effects of long-term sun exposure.

UV light damages skin cells, contributing to premature skin aging characterized by wrinkles, altered pigmentation, and loss of skin tone.

Derm-Biome will also be working with the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging. In preclinical studies, topical application of unformulated Derm-Biome compounds has produced noticeable improvements to the appearance of skin. We believe that our compounds will offer protective and restorative effects, with the potential to slow down the epigenetic changes associated with aging.

The global anti-aging products market size is projected to reach $82 billion USD by 2033.
