Today there was another announcement about infrastructure that plans to bring more fossil fuels to BC's North Coast. At SolShare Energy we have been listening to communities and working with them to build shared ownership community projects. Great to see Corporate Knights covering energy co-ops. One small correction to their coverage - although most energy co-ops in Canada are urban there is work in happening in rural areas as well. Here in BC Peace Energy co-op is rural. SolShare Energy is currently in various stages for three projects in rural areas. All will include local ownership. Unfortunately BC Hydro is putting up road blocks for at least one of these.
