📢 NEWS | Sun Summit Announces Non-Brokered Private Placement of up to $4 Million to Expand the 2026 Drill Program at the JD Project to 15,000 Meters

The largest program in company history just got bigger.

The expansion includes:

⛏️ An additional 2,000 meters at the Creek and Finn zones, beyond the original 10,000-meter plan, which is nearly complete, ahead of schedule and under budget

⛏️ A further 3,000 meters targeting the Schmitt Zone, located west of and contiguous to the Finn Zone within the 4.5 km Creek-to-Finn Corridor, designed to evaluate mineralization continuity to the west of the Finn Zone

The additional drilling has the potential to add ounces to the inaugural MRE targeted for Q1 2027.

⛏️ Drilling is Underway at the Finn Zone — JD Project, Toodoggone District, BC

One drill rig is now operating at the Finn Zone, with up to 19 holes planned as part of Sun Summit's 2026 exploration program. A second rig continues to operate at the Creek Zone.

The Finn Zone has a rich drilling history, with over 300 historical drill holes and 4 holes completed by Sun Summit in 2025, and the 2026 program builds directly on that foundation.

Holes are designed as step-out, infill, and exploration drill holes to investigate the down-dip and strike extent of near-surface, bulk-tonnage gold-silver mineralization, as well as the structural and lithological controls on deeper gold-associated, silver-rich mineralization and potential feeder zones at depth.

The 2026 program follows up 2025 results including 17.0 metres of 2.31 g/t gold with 113.1 g/t silver, including 6.0 metres of 5.30 g/t gold with 157.9 g/t silver in drill hole FZ-25-002.

All results are designed to advance the JD Project toward an inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate targeted for Q1 2027.

📢 NEWS RELEASE | Sun Summit Commences Fieldwork at the Theory Copper-Gold Project — Toodoggone District, BC

Sun Summit Minerals Corp. has mobilized exploration crews to begin its 2026 field program at the Theory Project, build on the success from the 2025 field season, the first significant fieldwork on the property in over 30 years.

The planned 2026 fieldwork includes three phases: a 476-line km Airborne MT geophysical survey (complete), as well as a 28-day field program (underway) including prospecting, geological mapping, and geochemical sampling, and lastly, Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical surveys on select targets.

All results from the 2026 program will be used to identify and prioritize targets for a planned 2027 drill campaign.

The primary exploration goals at JD in 2026 are to advance and expand the Creek and Finn gold-silver targets with the aim to prepare an inaugural mineral resource estimate by Q1 2027.

Priority targets have been identified along the highly prospective 4.5 km long epithermal-related Creek to Finn corridor, as well as the 12 km long JD Porphyry trend.

Sun Summit is pleased to provide an update from its ongoing 2026 exploration program at the JD Project — and the season is off to a strong start.

Highlights:

⛏️ Creek Zone — 5,100+ metres completed across 13 holes with 9 more planned, following up 81.0 metres of 4.80 g/t gold in drill hole CZ-25-021. Over 1,400 core samples shipped to the lab with initial results expected in the coming weeks.

⛏️ Finn Zone — One drill rig has moved to Finn, where up to 19 holes are planned. Step-out, infill, and exploration holes targeting near-surface bulk-tonnage gold-silver mineralization, following up 17.0 metres of 2.31 g/t gold with 113.1 g/t silver in drill hole FZ-25-002.

⛏️ MobileMT Survey Complete — 740 line-km of airborne geophysical surveying completed across the JD property, with final data deliverables expected mid-July.

⛏️Exploring the Theory Project — Toodoggone District, BC

In late summer 2025, 14 field days of fieldwork were completed at the Theory Project on, generating 258 rock samples, 417 soils, and 40 stream-silt samples across multiple target areas.

During the program, a new zone of interest — the Saboteur zone — was identified approximately 2–5 km ENE of the central BEV target, returning the most consistent high-grade copper results of the season with an overall mean of 1.45% Cu.

The 2026 program builds on these results with airborne MobileMT geophysics, fly-camp supported geological mapping and geochemical sampling, and ground IP surveys on priority targets — with an emphasis on advancing Theory toward drill-ready status for 2027.

Sun Summit Minerals Corp. holds a growing, district-scale land position in BC's prolific Toodoggone mining district — anchored by three projects, each at a different stage of advancement:

⛏️ JD Project (15,000 ha) — Our flagship gold-silver project and most advanced Toodoggone asset, with 45,400 metres of drilling completed to date across the 4.5 km Creek-to-Finn Corridor.
