What is a Feasibility Study (FS)? 🤔

As Donlin Gold moves through its Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS), here’s a simple breakdown of why this stage is such an important milestone for a project of this scale.

✨ Feasibility Study (FS)

In an FS, engineering is more advanced, cost estimates tightened and vendor/contractor inputs are incorporated. It provides the level of detail needed for potential financing and long‑term planning. In other words: “Can this project be financed and built?”

At Donlin Gold, this work is being advanced by a world‑class team:
🔹 Fluor – BFS lead
🔹 WSP – On‑site power plant engineering
🔹 Worley – Natural gas pipeline design
🔹 Hatch – Pressure oxidation circuit & oxygen plant

A strong FS helps de‑risk a project by improving cost certainty, validating engineering, and laying out a clear, construction‑ready path forward. It’s a major step for one of the world’s largest and highest‑grade known open‑pit gold deposits.
