“Something we found while renovating a deck made us stop and think.”
Last week, while tearing down an old deck, we found an American Robin nest on one of the beams. There were eggs inside. 🪺
We carefully moved the nest to a nearby spot — but we don’t know if the mother came back. And that uncertainty doesn’t sit well with us.
The right thing would have been to catch it before we started. We didn’t.
