We provide a wide range of Concrete and Framing services such as commercial, institutional, and residential construction, as well as concrete formwork, earthworks and excavation, and civil infrastructures. About the Opportunity
DC has opportunities for multiple full-time Carpenters to join our team in Victoria, BC. You will be working on sites throughout Vancouver Island, including Langford and Victoria.
As part of the DC team, you will ensure that our client's projects are built to the highest quality standards, governed by strict safety protocols.
With DC’s industry-leading training and mentorship, some of your key responsibilities will include:
· Installing, assembling, inspecting, and removing formwork for concrete structure foundations such as footings, walls, columns and suspended slabs
· Erecting Scaffolding & Falsework for above ground concrete structures, with Aluma Systems & 4 x 6 Construction Methods
· High Quality Assurance — ensuring the layout of the structure is as per the architectural/ structural building plans and sketches by checking that all work is accurate.
· Shaping/cutting materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines,power saws
· Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
· Inspecting, maintaining, reporting hazardous work environment, cleaning up worksite debris
· Red Seal Carpenters — working with Apprentices on day-to-day tasks, and providing mentoring as jointly outlined
