We’re excited to share that our Esquimalt Road Project is now moving full speed ahead! ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
After working through some early-stage challenges, we’ve officially secured our excavation permit and have begun removing multiple truckloads of material from the site. It’s great to see real progress underway. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Shoring installation has also started around the perimeter, setting the stage for the next phase of ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
A big thank you to our incredible team and partners - our consultants, architect, city officials, Michell Excavating, and Axis Shoring and Drilling - for your hard work and collaboration in getting this project off the ground.⠀

At Farmer Construction, we believe in building more than structures - we believe in building community. As the holidays approach, we’re reminded that many families in Greater Victoria are facing significant financial challenges. ⠀
⠀
According to recent data, 1 in 5 children in Greater Victoria are living in poverty, and many families struggle to afford basics during the winter months. These pressures are felt strongly during the holidays, with the costs of warm clothing, food, and gifts putting even more strain on parents. ⠀
⠀
That’s why this year, we are proud to once again support 𝗖𝗙𝗔𝗫 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 and 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱 - two organizations that make a real difference for local children and families. Santas Anonymous provides toys to thousands of children every holiday season, ensuring no child is left without something special to open. The Mustard Seed continues its essential work of providing food, shelter, and support to families in need across our community. ⠀

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀! ⠀

Our first four buildings are nearing completion, and it’s exciting to see the first portion of the site really coming together. Here’s a quick look at some of the finished or almost finished areas - including some suites, stairways, the mailroom, and the parkade. ⠀
⠀
Meanwhile, crews are pushing forward on the concrete work in the huge plaza area, with asphalt scheduled to go down in just a couple of weeks. ⠀
⠀
A huge thank you to all the trades and partners on-site - your dedication and craftsmanship have brought us to this major milestone.
