The view from behind the mill is looking pretty good these days.

We made huge strides this week to bring the new electric sawmill online with the help of friends, family and team members old and new. We did it! She runs! Everything works… we think!

The next big milestone is getting our electrical hookup dialed in, so we’re likely still months out from actually cutting logs, but it feels amazing to have made this much progress. Time to wrap up an awesome week and celebrate 🍾

An arbour fit for its ocean view, just completed by Kingfisher Carpentry. This Gorge waterfront home gets plenty of sun, and now the homeowners will be able to take full advantage.

Big thanks for working with us!

Sending a big thank you to all the customers who have been keeping our team busy over the past month.

Summer is always a high pressure season for the construction industry, and the crew has been working hard to make sure your lumber makes it to the project site when you need it.

Rolling into September on a high note. Summer isn’t over yet, let’s keep it going!

We love a good progress update!

Work is underway at Hybury House to add a new covered terrace. The homeowners have been hard at work restoring their heritage home with beautiful wood details inside and out.

The next step is to paint, making these brand new posts and beams feel like they’ve been part of the house forever.

Thanks for all the support hamptonhouseandcottage

That’s a wrap on a wild expedition to pick up the new sawmill from California!

7 days, too many hours of driving, too few hours of sleep, back to back 12 hour days packing up and loading trucks in 44 degree heat…

Now to put the thing back together and get her running! Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

Give it up for Ben Drury for rising to the challenge 👏

We’ve been running two Wood Mizer LT50 sawmills as hard as we can for a while now, and at the rate we’re going we don’t have much room to grow.

This week Ben is headed to California to pickup a new electric sawmill system that will allow us to work faster, and keep taking on more customers and bigger projects.

We still have to run power to our site so it’ll be a while before we get things up and running, but if you’re keen to follow along on the journey, keep an eye out for updates from Ben’s mission South!

Every new customer means a lot to a small business like ours, but we're especially grateful to build relationships with people who keep coming back.

Here are a few shots from several projects that one of our customers has used our wood for. Always grateful for the support!

This one's for all the dads doing the double shift to make things the best they can be at work and at home. Whether you're working a demanding job or building a business, hats off!

These two little boys are the reason Ben puts in so much effort to show what's possible if you set your mind to something, take some risks, and back it up with hard work. They're also the reason he's so damn tired by the time his head hits the pillow.

Happy Father's Day to Ben and all the other dads out there!
