This Holiday Season, Island Born Contracting Ltd. is proud to partner with CFAX Santa’s Anonymous in their 45th year of helping deserving kids and families. CFAX Santa’s Anonymous is the longest serving children’s charity in Victoria.

This year there are 1220 families and 2465 children registered. Every family receives a food hamper worth $150, and $150 gift card for perishable food items. Every child receives one $40 gift card for clothes, one $40 gift card and one $25 gift.

In partnership with the Victoria Royals, we will be collecting donations on December 6 & 7 from 3:30pm to 7:30pm at the front of Save-On Foods Memorial Center. Each donation will get your name entered in a draw to win 1 of 2 team autographed Victoria Royals jerseys. In addition to accepting new toys, gift cards and cash, we will also be equipped to accept donations via debit square. Drop by to say hi and grab a holiday treat.

Tasks: detailed site protection and ability to manage small to medium sized drywall and painting projects around the South Island.

Experience in drywall installation, drywall finishing and painting an asset, but will train the right person.

Transportation is required.

The holiday season is always difficult for those in need, but 2020 has proved uniquely challenging. Social fundraisers, including the one Island Born had planned, have been cancelled and those who stood to benefit have in many cases not received the support they need and deserve. This applies as equally to animals as it does to humans. We have chosen one amazing non-profit organization to help this year: Broken Promises Rescue. Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit animal rescue organization in Victoria, B.C. They are an "all species" (even farm animals) rescue who have been doing rescue work for over 20 years.

We would like to acknowledge that many businesses or individuals who would otherwise donate are closed or are out of a work, and we at Island Born are incredibly humbled and grateful to be in a position to help in our small way this holiday season. We believe that this year's challenges present a unique opportunity for businesses who have been less affected to reach out and lend a hand if they are able, and have been inspired to see others rise to the occasion.
