Along with Sheri Eastman, co-owner of RTM, and our management team, I have been closely following the ongoing local, national and global crisis of COVID-19. Together we have come to the realization that it is in the best interest of our employees and their families to cease operations commencing today, March 18, 2020 for a minimum of the next 14 days. We strongly urge each and every one of our employees to abide by the recommendations of health authorities here on Vancouver Island, across Canada and indeed the world over and “stay home” for the next 14 days.
It is very important that everyone in our community do their absolute best to minimize contact with others, to “SOCIAL DISTANCE”. It has been proven that if we all abide by this simple requirement, we will be able to do our part to immediately slow the spread of the very real threat of Covid-19.
I want to assure each and every one of our employees that our company remains strong with contractual work on hand that will keep all of us working through mid-2021 and beyond. It is precisely for this reason that we want to keep our employees safe from exposure as best as we can here at RTM Ltd. To be perfectly clear, we want to retain all of our employees and hope to have you back to work as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
