Big day for the trades community. 💪🛠️

Yesterday we took part in what you could call a Construction & demolition Kick off ceremony for The Forge Recovery Centre — an incredible new initiative by the Construction Foundation of BC dedicated to supporting mental health, recovery, and wellness for people in the construction and trades industry.

This project means a lot.
Construction is a tough industry — physically and mentally — and The Forge will be a safe place where tradespeople can find support, connection, and help when they need it most.

Another job wrapped up for Newton Valley Excavating 👷‍♂️♻️

We were able to crush the concrete on site and the client was able to reuse it as base material for the Sooke Skate Park. By reusing the material on site, the client avoided hauling concrete away and bringing that much less aggregate back in—saving time, reducing costs, and keeping the carbon footprint to a minimum.

Smart, efficient, and sustainable work all around. 💪🌱

🌊💦 Big news at NAN Site Servicing! We’ve officially broken ground on our first Latham Pool Products, Inc (steel sides w/ liner) project right here in Victoria 🏊‍♂️

The crew is excited to get rolling, and we can’t wait to share updates as this beautiful pool takes shape. It’s always special to kick off a “first” — and this is the start of many more Pool installs to come.

And the client; to save money, is using one of our machines to bulk dig the pool himself. (*dont worry he's a seasoned professional)

NAN Site Servicing LTD – Vancouver Island, BC
Wages: $35-$40 • Benefits after 3 months

We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 Dump Truck Driver to join the NAN Site Servicing team. If you know your way around a dump box, keep a spotless cab, and thrive on getting the job done right the first time, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
• Haul soil, gravel, and construction materials to and from civil and residential jobs
• Haul Pit to Pit/ Pit to yard etc.
• Hauling Asphalt/ working with paving crews
• Perform daily pre-trip / post-trip inspections and basic truck maintenance
• Work with dispatch and on-site crews to ensure safe, timely deliveries
• Keep accurate load tickets and driver logs
• Represent NAN with a professional, courteous attitude on every run

Must-Haves
• Extensive Experience running quad end dump wagons & pony etc on south Vancouver Island.
• Local knowledge of south Vancouver Island haul routes & gravel pits.
• Valid Class 1 licence with Air Brake endorsement
• Clean and current driver’s abstract
• Proven experience driving dump trucks in civil or construction settings
• Strong safety record and knowledge of load securement regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a tight-knit crew

Nice to Haves
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and troubleshooting

Skidsteer job a little while ago,
customer bought some from PND Soil & Gravel Mart and we went and worked with the customer and his John Deere tractor to place it in wind rows for him to plant 225 Lavender Plants
