“Behind every small business is someone taking a chance on a dream. Every time you choose to shop local, you remind them that the dream is worth it.”

When you choose to support a small business, you’re doing more than buying a service. You’re helping someone build something they believe in. You’re supporting hard work, a family’s future, and the idea that doing things right still matters.

At Easterbrook Sharpening, sharpening isn’t just about grinding steel. It’s about taking pride in a trade, respecting the tools people depend on, and making sure every customer feels good about where they brought their business.

It’s about the farmer who depends on their tools, the home cook who loves preparing meals for their family, the barber who takes pride in every haircut, the local restaurant working hard to serve its customers, and the tradesperson who needs their equipment ready for another day’s work.

🎡NORFOLK COUNTY FAIR WEEK IS HERE🎟️

There’s something special about this week in Norfolk County.

The lights, the midway, the livestock, the food, the competitions, the familiar faces — but most of all, it’s a celebration of the people who make this community such a great place to call home.

As a small, locally owned business, Easterbrook Sharpening is proud to be part of that community. 🧡

Every knife we sharpen, every pair of shears we tune, and every tool we put an edge on is another opportunity to support the people who live, work and build their lives right here in Norfolk County.

So this week, shop local. Eat local. Support local.

Visit the family-run businesses. Grab a bite from a local restaurant. Stop by the fair. Shake a hand. Say hello.

Because when we support local businesses, we’re not just spending money — we’re investing in our neighbours, our families and the future of our community.

From our family to yours, have a fantastic Norfolk County Fair week! 🎡🐄🌾

And remember…

Your tools matter. Your community matters. ❤️

🍂 THE OCTOBER RECIPE 🍂

Serves: Everyone who loves fall cooking

🥧 INGREDIENTS

• 1 crisp October morning
• 3–4 apples
• 1 good pumpkin
• A basket of root vegetables
• Your favourite roast
• A loaf of fresh bread
• A generous helping of butter
• A pinch of cinnamon
• 1 properly sharpened kitchen knife 🔪
• As much comfort food as you can handle

👨‍🍳 DIRECTIONS

Step 1: Turn on the oven.

Step 2: Put on your favourite fall playlist.

Step 3: Start chopping.

Step 4: Realize your knife is crushing the tomatoes, tearing the bread and making every cut harder than it should be.

Step 5: ❌ STOP.

There’s one ingredient missing.

🔪 THE EASTERBROOK EDGE.

A professionally sharpened knife means cleaner cuts, easier prep and a much better time in the kitchen.

🔪THE “DON’T THROW IT OUT YET”CHALLENGE 🔪

Before you replace it…

Before you throw it in the garbage…

Before you decide that old knife, pair of scissors, garden tool or saw blade is simply “done”…

👉 Bring it to Easterbrook Sharpening.

We want to see how far we can bring your old edge back.

🪓 That axe that barely bites.
✂️ Those scissors that chew instead of cut.
🔪 That kitchen knife you’ve almost given up on.
🌳 Those outdoor tools that have seen better days.

Don’t replace the tool. Replace the edge.

At Easterbrook Sharpening, we put professional edge work behind the tools you already own — backed by years of hands-on experience as a butcher by trade.

⚠️ HERE’S THE CHALLENGE:

Find the dullest tool in your shop, kitchen, garage or shed.

Bring it in.

Let’s see what the Easterbrook Edge can do.
