Picnic tables look great when they’re new… but in our climate, wood doesn’t always age well. Rain, snow, freeze-thaw cycles, and heavy use can quickly lead to cracking, splintering, and rot.

That’s why more parks, campgrounds, and outdoor spaces are choosing the hanit Serengeti picnic table.

Made from 100% recycled plastic, the Serengeti picnic table is built to handle the elements while requiring almost no maintenance.

✔ Won’t rot, crack, or splinter
✔ Resistant to moisture, frost, and UV
✔ No painting, staining, or sealing required
✔ Extremely durable for high-traffic areas
✔ Made from sustainable recycled materials

Perfect for parks, campgrounds, schools, patios, and public spaces where durability matters.

This break in the weather has me believing spring really is on the way. 🌱

Sure, it’ll be wet and muddy — but at least it won’t be freezing. I’m already looking forward to getting back out on the trails and doing some hiking.

As I gear up for a Trail Builders show in April, I was going through photos of bridges and boardwalks built with hanit® recycled plastic products — and it got me excited about what’s ahead this season.

Because hanit is made from 100% recycled plastic, it won’t rot. That makes it ideal for wet or damp environments where traditional materials struggle.
✔ No rot
✔ No decay at that air-and-water line on posts
✔ Built to handle moisture year after year

In many cases, entire boardwalk systems — posts, beams, decking, curbs — can be constructed using hanit. And if you prefer a combination of materials, that works too. Flexibility matters when you’re designing for real-world conditions.

Maybe these photos will get you thinking about your upcoming projects as well. Spring builds are just around the corner. 🌿

Building on a roof comes with real challenges — weight limits, tight access, drainage, and long-term durability.

hanit Rooftop L-Stones are designed specifically for roof terraces, giving contractors a lightweight alternative to heavy concrete edging. Made from 100% recycled plastic, they’re about three times lighter than concrete, making them easier to transport, handle, and install — especially in elevated or restricted-access spaces.

Available in 11¾" or 15¾" heights, hanit Rooftop L-Stones provide solid soil retention for planters, embankments, and edge restraint. They won’t rot, crack, or splinter, and they’re resistant to moisture, frost, salts, and fertilizers — perfect for exposed rooftop conditions.

No curing time. No special equipment. They can be cut and adjusted on-site using standard tools, and the modular, reversible design makes clean corners and flexible layouts simple.

Backed by a 20-year warranty, hanit Rooftop L-Stones help you build faster, reduce labour, and deliver a long-lasting result your clients will trust.

Install smarter. Install faster. Install hanit Heavy Duty Ground Grids.

Traditional concrete pavers are heavy, time-consuming to install, and costly to repair. hanit Heavy Duty Ground Grids offer a better alternative for driveways, access roads, parking areas, and high-load surfaces.

✔️ Lightweight and easy to handle — less labour and faster installs
✔️ Designed for heavy loads without cracking or shifting
✔️ Permeable surface helps manage water and reduce runoff
✔️ No curing time — install and use immediately

For installers, that means fewer headaches on-site, shorter install times, and a more durable finished product your customers will appreciate.

If you’re still using concrete, it might be time to rethink your strategy.
