What is Atlantic BioHeat? 🌲🔥
Atlantic BioHeat provides contract heating and biomass boiler solutions across Prince Edward Island, from Kensington to Tignish.
We don’t just install boilers. We own them, operate them, and sell heat directly to our clients. From government buildings like schools, hospitals, and manors, to long-term institutional partners, we manage the entire heating system from start to finish.
That means:
• Installing and maintaining biomass boilers
• Producing and delivering our own wood chips as fuel
• Operating 14 boilers across PEI heating 19 buildings
• Supplying reliable, renewable heat year after year
Atlantic BioHeat installed PEI’s first biomass boiler at École Évangéline in 2008 and has been leading the way ever since. We originally started with wood pellets, but transitioned to wood chips when pellets weren’t available locally, a move that proved to be more efficient and cost-effective.
To ensure the highest fuel quality, we use European wood chippers, which produce the consistent chip size required for modern boiler systems.
Today, Atlantic BioHeat is powered by a team of 6 dedicated employees, delivering dependable, locally sourced renewable heat across the Island.
