☀️ QUICK TIP: Staying cool during an Okanagan heat wave

When the temperature spikes, give your AC a hand:

1. Set your thermostat a few degrees higher
2. Keep blinds and curtains closed during the day
3. Use ceiling fans to circulate cool air
4. Stay hydrated and limit indoor heat sources

If your system is running flat out and still falling behind, it may be time for a check. Call Triumph at 250-870-6567 and we will get to you fast.

We love hearing the difference a new hot water tank and heat pump make in a home.

🔥 Swipe through for 4 simple ways to keep your home cool this summer without overworking your AC.

Small changes make a big difference. Drawn blinds, exhaust fans, sealed gaps, and unblocked vents all take pressure off your system so it runs more efficiently and lasts longer.

💡 FUN FACT

Your air conditioner quietly pulls 15+ gallons of moisture out of the air every day in summer. That is the part that makes your home feel cool, not just cold.

Dehumidifying is half of what an AC actually does, and a tired system stops doing it well. If your home feels muggy even when the AC is running, give us a call.

Call Triumph at 250-870-6567 to book a check.

Tired of hearing about HVAC? How about a recipe?

Creamy Chicken Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pound chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
0.5 pound pasta penne or fettuccine recommended
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1.5 cup heavy cream
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese (fresh)
0.25 cup chicken broth
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
Steps:
• Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
• While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
• Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
• Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
• Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
• Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the cooked pasta. Toss to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
• Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

THERMOSTAT TIP

Trying to keep your home cool without driving up the bill? Set your thermostat to 22–23°C when you are home, and bump it to 24–26°C when you head out.

Cycling the AC off and on uses more energy than holding a slightly warmer set point all day. Small change, big savings.

If your system is struggling to hit your set point, call Triumph at 250-870-6567 and we will take a look.
