Oh, how time flies! Since our launch in 2006, we’ve experienced many milestones! What began as a “One Man Show” in the basement of Owner & President, Marc Lecours’ home, is now a thriving business that serves many industries.
How did it all begin?
As the financial crisis was creeping up, it was clear that jobs were not secure and layoffs were unavoidable for many people as businesses closed their doors for the foreseeable future. Marc took a risk and decided to start his own business – a goal he had envisioned since he was young.
Marc noticed there was a need for plastic injection mold designers in the Windsor area – bringing to light the opportunity to provide a crucial service in a city where Manufacturing is the most prevalent industry. With over 20 years of experience as a Mold Maker, he had the knowledge, skills, and passion to create a successful business. And so, Michmar Engineering was established.
What began as a solution for plastic injection mold design services, has now turned into a thriving business that also offers product & fixture design, blow molding, and innovative products that are changing the Mold Making industry for the better (invented by Marc and built by our incredible staff!) It’s been a wonderful journey over the last 18 years, and we are excited to see what the future holds for Michmar Engineering!
