We have recently released our latest capabilities video focused on our Supersonic Spray Technologies Division (SST), which develops and markets cold spray products and services for a wide range of applications in a variety of industries. SST supplies a range of proprietary cold spray equipment, complementary devices, and consumables that are used to repair, restore, refinish and recoat manufactured products. SST also dedicates R&D capabilities toward advanced cold spray developments to identify commercially viable applications for cold spray technology.

Congratulations to Professor Bertrand Jodoin, on winning the Mitacs​ Professor Award for Outstanding Leadership. Bertrand Jodoin, an 18-year professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Ottawa. Professor Jodoin was recognized for his ongoing efforts to mentor graduate students and bridge the gap between research and industry.

CenterLine's Julio Villafuerte, Corporate Technology Strategist, along with CenterLine customer L.J. Walch Co. co-wrote an article published in the May 2016 issue of Advanced Materials and Processes magazine. Their article is called New Trends in Aerospace: Saving the Bottom Line with Cold Spray Repairs, and explains how cold spray is an cost effective alternative to replacement of high-value and irreplaceable components in the Aerospace Industry.

At the 2015 HVOF Colloquium held Oct 29-30 in Erdling Germany, Julio Villafuerte, Corporate Technology Strategist for Centerline presented a paper he co-wrote entitled " Advances in the Restoration of Damaged Aircraft Skin by the Cold Spray Technique" .

This paper reviews the results of recent research aimed at validating the use of downstream injection Cold spray to locally restore the characteristics of damaged Aluminum clad layers on clad 2024-T3 aluminum alloy (Alclad 2024-T3) for commercial aircraft skins.
