Do you ever wonder what happens at Haywood Concrete Products?
After almost 50 years in operation, they now employ around 65 people in Haywood alone, with nearly 100 employees across multiple locations.
After starting as a ready-mix concrete provider in 1977, they started making pre-cast walls in the early '90s. Since then, they have evolved into a well-oiled machine producing concrete products used all over North America.
On today's visit, the team was producing concrete piles, precast hollow-core, precast walls, floors, and balconies, as well as concrete bridge girders all at the same time.
Throughout the years, several expansions have taken place, including a new office building and a 200 ft expansion to the main plant in 2015. In 2022, the South side expansion with a second crane rail, was added to further increase productivity.
