Part 2 of Our Story:

Four years after starting Super Value Carpet Cleaning in Winnipeg, Sean and Shawn made a big decision.

In 1994, they expanded to Calgary.
What began as a small carpet cleaning company quickly grew into operations in two cities and nearly 50 employees.

It was an exciting season filled with opportunity, long hours, big dreams, and plenty of lessons along the way.

Like many family businesses, everyone pitched in.

Family members answered phones, cleaned carpets, booked appointments, and did whatever needed to be done to help the company grow.

Looking back, one thing stands out; sometimes growth requires taking a risk.

Not every risk works exactly as planned, but every risk teaches you something.

The lessons learned during these years helped shape the company we are today and laid the foundation for the next 36 years.

Looking through these old photos reminds us how important it is to be willing to try, learn, adapt, and keep moving forward.

Before the trucks, the team, and 36 years of serving Winnipeg… there were just two 23-year-olds, Sean and Shawn, with one piece of equipment, a tiny 150 sq ft office on Dumoulin Street, and a dream.

It was 1990, right in the middle of a recession. Jobs were scarce, money was tight, and success was far from guaranteed. They invested everything they had into starting a carpet cleaning company; signing a one-year lease, hiring two telemarketers, and hoping they could make payroll two weeks later.

What they lacked in resources, they made up for in determination, work ethic, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Their goal was simple; build a company Winnipeg could trust.

36 years later, we’re still here; proudly serving the same city that gave us our start.
