Last week the RS 80 took an overnight trip to Melville, Saskatchewan where we relocated this press brake to the customer’s new building with ease. The efficiency of this machine means there’s no need to get out jacks and wheels. special

Today marks another major milestone in our hospital’s journey to opening Kenora’s first ever MRI Suite with a very special delivery! The 12-tonne MRI Magnet was carefully craned into place in the Hospital Diagnostic Imaging Department around 2 PM.

Thank you the vast LWDH team who have played a part in bringing MRI to Kenora and thanks to our contractors/partners: HCS, Canon, Jarnel, Lake of the Woods Electric, AK Contracting, Disal, TDR Painting and Williams Craning for all the expertise! And of course - heartfelt thanks to our the team at LWDH Foundation, our communities and our Province for all that has been done to bring this dream to life! Busy Saturday for one of the Willm’s Craning crews. Three boilers brought into a basement mechanical room in a round about way. The building is a heritage building and cannot have any original doors removed.

50th Anniversary FINAL Flashback!
In 2019 we took a leap into the world of business ownership and purchased Willm’s Craning Ltd. Over the last 5+ years there has been lots of learning, laughter, hard work and challenging times, including a worldwide pandemic just six months in. We are not only a family business, but we have a great team of committed, loyal and professional staff that continue to make us successful. We endeavour to uphold the quality and service WCL has always been known for. Sincere thanks to our staff and customers who continue to make Willm’s Craning Ltd. the success it is today.

50th Anniversary Flashback Friday
Ron Groot began working for his uncles in 1982. In 2006 Ron and his wife Robin purchased Willm’s Craning Ltd. and grew the company to a point where they needed much more than the Lulu St. location could provide. In 2016 they purchased 170 Eagle Drive with ample indoor and outdoor space to accommodate their staff, equipment and customer needs. They remained owners until 2019 when they retired from business ownership.
