💰 Savings Hack: Here’s something many HVAC companies won’t tell you…
You don’t need to pay someone for every part of A/C maintenance.
One of the best things you can do yourself is regularly rinse your outdoor condenser with a garden hose (never a pressure washer). Dirt, grass, cottonwood, and debris block airflow, making your system work harder, use more electricity, and wear out faster.
✅ Turn the power off first.
✅ Gently rinse the coil throughout the cooling season.
✅ Keep shrubs and plants at least 18–24” away for proper airflow.
A clean condenser helps your A/C run more efficiently, lowers energy costs, and can extend the life of your system.
At Fern’s Heating & Air Conditioning, we’d rather help you save money by teaching you the simple maintenance you can safely do yourself—and be there when you need us for the jobs that require a professional.
