Do You Really Need a Bathroom Fan?

Yes. And it's doing more than just getting rid of smells.

Every time you take a hot shower, you're adding moisture to the air.
Without proper ventilation, that moisture can build up on your:
-Walls
-Ceiling
-Mirrors
-Cabinets
-Trim

Over time, excessive moisture can contribute to mould and mildew, peeling paint, damaged finishes, and other moisture-related problems.

A properly installed bathroom exhaust fan helps remove that warm, humid air and exhaust it outside your home.

Here's the important part: Your bathroom fan isn't just about comfort.

It's part of protecting your bathroom and your home.
And if you're renovating your bathroom, it's a great time to make sure the ventilation is properly planned—not simply assume the existing setup is adequate.

Renovation Tip: Don't focus only on what you can see. Some of the most important parts of a renovation are the things that end up hidden behind the walls.

Have a bathroom that needs an update? Rex Renovations helps homeowners in Woodstock and the surrounding area create bathrooms that look great and function properly.

Your Basement Could Be Your Home’s Best Room…

Most basements start the same way: storage boxes, laundry, concrete floors, and a lot of wasted potential.

But what if that space became the room your family actually wants to spend time in?

🎬 Home theatre

A successful basement renovation starts long before the drywall goes up. You need to consider moisture, insulation, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, flooring, permits, and your long-term plans for the space.

At Rex Renovations, we help homeowners throughout Woodstock and Oxford County turn unfinished basements into comfortable, functional living spaces—while keeping you informed throughout the process with regular project updates and walkthroughs.

Your basement isn't just storage space.

Happy retirement to Dave Schaus (my grandpa aka. Papa). 39 years of being a fixture in downtown Woodstock, something most small business owners could only dream of. You gave me the strength, courage and guidance to start Rex Renovations just over 6 years ago.

Wishing Maria, the new owner all the best. You'll still be our go to place for the highest quality paint
