Thank you to Yorkton Business Improvement District - YBID for sponsoring the Distinguished Entrepreneur award at this years Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Celebrate Success. I am very grateful to all the business’ that support events such as these, and I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to attend this years celebration.
While I am very honoured to receive this award, I am always less inclined to share that I received it for a few reasons:
• it feels very awkward for me to share things like this, Sask folks are humble & sometimes sharing things like this doesn’t feel very humble 🤷🏼♀️
• there are so many business owners & organizations doing very good things for the betterment of our community every single day. Yorkton is really lucky to have the supportive business community that we do!
• I don’t believe that personal achievement is ever achieved individually…there is always a strong group of support that should be recognized in individual achievement.

Nicole Campbell began purchasing Yorkton Concrete in 2012. She is honoured to be part of a third-generation family business that has been built through years of hard work, perseverance, and strong community support. Alongside her husband and business partner Darrin, and a dedicated team, she continues to help guide the business forward.
Nicole credits any success not to individual achievement, but to the collective effort of the business’s team, the loyalty of their clients who support local, and the mentorship she and Darrin have received through the years from her Dad and numerous others. For Nicole, success is not measured individually, but shared among those who make it possible.
Being a young woman in a male dominated industry, Nicole has found her colleagues and peers within the industry to be excellent mentors, for which she is thankful.
Deeply rooted in Yorkton and the surrounding area, Yorkton Concrete remains committed to supporting the communities that have, and continue, to support them.
The path forward for Yorkton Concrete is grounded in integrity.
