Hello, I serve MA and CT, chat me if you would like to connect.

Just spent a while reading through all of the comments on my last post which was awesome some read, so many different opinions (some kinda weird 😳). A few points I must make on going Solar:
1) The top three reasons people go Solar are: Protection, Predictability and Control. Yes "Going Green" is also reason but not a determining factor in most cases.
2) If you go Solar you are still the same person you were... It doesn't make you a Liberal, Democrat, Conservative, Republican, Independent, Atheist or anything else. It is a HOME EFFICIENCY solution. Very polarizing topic but running a house is like running a business, if you have the opportunity to lower operating costs you would do so, correct?
3) The real goal in Solar is to get as far away from your electric company (Eversource, National Grid) as possible knowing they will always have that wire attached to your house which you will pay the fee for.
4) Solar is not for everyone, position of your home, electricity usage, etc but there is no reason not to see if it might be a good solution for you!
5) Yes, you may choose a Lease or PPA that lasts for 25 years but your contract with Eversource of National Grid is a LIFETIME sentence where the cost goes up every year and you have no control. See below from the EIA for the last 20 year gragh:
