This week, we had the pleasure of joining AMIV for an industry talk at ETH Zurich, engaging with around 80 international engineering students.

We shared insights into Test Center Engineering and Additive Manufacturing, showcasing how innovation, testing excellence, and advanced manufacturing technologies help solve complex engineering challenges at Accelleron.

Just as valuable were the discussions beyond the presentation - exchanging ideas with curious and talented students, discussing real-world engineering applications, and exploring future career opportunities made this event especially rewarding.

Slow steaming shouldn’t mean compromising efficiency.
Many two-stroke vessels operate at lower engine loads but occasionally need to switch to high-load operation. That's exactly why we developed FiTS2.

Our turbocharger cut-in/cut-out system automatically cuts out one turbocharger to improve efficiency at low loads, then cuts it back in the moment higher loads are required. The entire process is fully automated, so there's no need for crew intervention.

Installing enough power-generation capacity is only part of the challenge. The real test is whether it remains reliable and ready when needed.

That was the message from Ihab Hlayel, Accelleron’s Managing Director North America, at Experience POWER/Data Center POWER eXchange in Washington, D.C. (in front, on the right).

As data centers drive demand for electricity, dependable prime and backup power will be critical. Our team has been discussing how OEM turbocharger technology and maintenance can support the performance, reliability and uptime of the engines behind that power.
