WOLFF in the heart of Zürich

We are proud to be present in the heart of Zürich with our WOLFF 7534 Clear 🏗️ , supporting our customer Marti AG, Bauunternehmung by the renovation of Platzspitz weir.

The renovation of Zurich’s Platzspitz weir (Platzspitzwehr) is a major flood-protection and infrastructure project running from April 2024 until mid-2028. Originally built in 1951, the weir is being completely rebuilt to improve Lake Zurich’s water regulation, enhance flood management of the Sihl River, and integrate a new fish ladder. A new weir bridge has already been constructed as part of this project.

It is great to see one of the strongest WOLFF flat-top tower cranes in our portfolio contributing to this major infrastructure project.

Built nearly 30 years ago - and now back as good as new ♻️

Recently erected on the Hive project in Sheffield for our client, Birkbeck Structures, our refurbished WOLFF 100 B tower crane proves that great engineering stands the test of time.

Originally manufactured in 1996, the crane was fully refurbished at our Luckau production plant in Germany and is now ready for many more years of reliable work.

It’s a great example of how extending the life of high-quality equipment not only makes sense technically, but also environmentally - reducing emissions by up to 92% compared to building new.

The transformation of 1 Victoria Street in London is turning a former 1960s office block into a modern, low-carbon workplace in the heart of Westminster.

By reusing the original foundations, the project avoids new piling works and significantly reduces embodied carbon, supporting a more sustainable approach to urban redevelopment.

This approach also created unusual tower crane conditions, with all cranes installed at basement level, directly on foundations more than 60 years old, requiring careful planning and specialist engineering solutions.

Crane Spotting in Warsaw: WOLFFs on a Landmark Project 🏗️

In the heart of Poland’s capital, just steps away from one of its most iconic - and sometimes debated - landmarks, the Palace of Culture and Science, two WOLFF cranes are helping shape new cultural opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

Our WOLFFs are supporting the construction of the new TR Warszawa theatre 🎭, part of a visionary two-building complex that also houses the new Museum of Modern Art. Designed by the renowned New York-based studio Thomas Phifer and Partners, this project is set to redefine Warsaw’s cultural landscape.

Construction of the underground structure is currently underway, with the above-ground transformation set to become visible by 2027.

We’re proud that our two seasoned WOLFFs 💪 operated by our customer, Herkules SA, are contributing to the realization of this remarkable project - a future landmark in the making ⭐🏙️

We’re shining a spotlight on a fantastic project recently brought to completion at Belgrove House in London.

The operation was delivered using three WOLFF 355 B luffing jib tower cranes for our client Mace Construct.

Belgrove House is a 10-storey life sciences and office development located in London’s Knowledge Quarter, directly opposite King’s Cross and St Pancras stations. The building has been designed with strong sustainability ambitions, including a clear focus on material reuse.

Many thanks to our valued customer, Mace Construct, for their trust and collaboration.
