That’s a Farmers Day wrap!
In Côte d’Ivoire, our team interacted with farmers who were missing their production volumes because their farms were affected by the cocoa swollen shoot disease.
Better days lie ahead, farmers of the Ecookim cooperative will surely be among the first to benefit from early surveillance services thanks to the deployment of in-field detection kits and newly integrated disease management protocols.

For the past few months, we have been working with Colun from Chile, to incorporate our A2 Cow Milk tests into their quality control procedures.
🎖️We are happy to announce today the result of this collaboration, with Colun joining our A2 INSIDE Label program.
The A2 INSIDE Label is used by dairy companies who regularly control their products with SwissDeCode’s DNAFoil A2 Cow Milk test.

For the past few months, we have been working with Asehira Dairy from Japan, to incorporate our A2 Cow Milk tests into their quality control procedures.

🎖️We are happy to announce today the result of this collaboration, which is the first official member of our A2 INSIDE Label program.

The A2 INSIDE Label is used by dairy companies who regularly control their products with SwissDeCode’s DNAFoil A2 Cow Milk test, the world’s first rapid, on-site DNA test for A2-casein milk. The label is accompanied by a QR Code that leads the consumer to a dedicated website explaining the concept of A2-casein milk.

🥛🇨🇭🇯🇵 Starting today, Asehira Dairy's A2 products, found in hundreds of shops across Japan, will carry the label created by SwissDeCode, reassuring consumers about their authenticity.

A local producer in Switzerland, Mr. Sonnay is looking at global milk trends, and has trusted our tests and services to start producing A2 milk.

It took us a little while to count and classify a whopping 1481 food recalls reported in 2021 in Europe. This represents a 27% increase from 2020, which shows that European authorities are implementing tighter controls and regulations.

📋 The lack of regulations for the production and commercialisation of A2-type milk means that consumers are constantly at risk of being victims of fraud or unintentional cross-contamination between regular A1-type milk and A2-type milk.

🔍 In our recent study, we used our DNAFoil A2 Cow Milk technology to look for the presence of the A1 beta-casein in milk samples from Europe and China, finding it in two products that claimed to be A2-type milk.

🥛 The DNAFoil tests, used in combination with our unique A2 INSIDE Label, allow dairy producers from around the world to validate and communicate the authenticity of their A2 milk products to their consumers.

We had the pleasure to attend the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge Open Innovation Forum, pitching to Food companies such as Mars, Incorporated, PepsiCo, Kerry Foods and .

🥇 In the end, we won the pitching contest, with the judges highlighting the "very interesting concept" of our technology, which is "taking analytics one step forward".

Thank you Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, we are thrilled to be ending the year on a high note!
