In our latest in-house training session, machine operators were instructed in precise and efficient metal bending, with the aim of reducing errors and avoiding downtime.

The training also focused on mastering the BENDtronic bending software. The participants were introduced to all the possibilities the software has to offer, including radius calculation, round bending and calibration. They also received an instruction in “autonomous bending” and were able to find out for themselves how easy bending can be with this technology.

“My personal goal is to ensure that the participants feel comfortable using the BENDtronic after the training”, says Avzi Jusufi, who conducted the practical training session.

🎓 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞
At the end of the training, the participants’ knowledge was tested in a simulation in which they had to bend a sheet of metal according to exact customer specifications.

Our colleague Marcel Steidle has received the Best Paper Award from the «Global Fluid Power Society» – the world’s largest scientific network of fluid power institutions.

With this award, the scientific association recognizes the relevance and significance of the research being driven by HAEUSLER at its Duggingen site.

Marcel Steidle is conducting his doctoral research as a part of a collaboration between HAEUSLER and TU Dresden. At the 15th International Conference on Fluid Power (IFK) in Aachen, Marcel presented his latest research results on adaptive control frameworks for servo-valve controlled cylinders.

Marcel’s approach introduces two novel control frameworks including an algorithm for the seamless transition between adaptive cylinder position und load pressure control – a framework that had not been tested until Marcel's research.

In various simulations and experiments on a 4-roll plate bending machine at the HAEUSLER site in Duggingen, Marcel was able to validate the proposed control frameworks.

The new system delivers improved accuracy for both position and load pressure control. Furthermore, it can be used with any hydraulic machine, such as excavators.

With our CNC-controlled operating system, profile bending becomes precise and repeatable — eliminating the need for trial-and-error adjustments.

HAEUSLER bending machines are designed to meet the high capacity and accuracy requirements of shipyards worldwide.

Our Ship Frame Bending Machine (SFBM) enables the bending and straightening of equal and unequal angles, T-sections, flat bars and HP profiles – without additional tools. It also allows for the creation of both negative and positive radii.

The key characteristics of the SFBM are:

➡️ CNC controlled bending cycle by HAEUSLER BENDtronic operating system.

➡️ The profile can be bent with the legs in outside- and inside position, without turning the profile.

➡️ Two bulb flats stapled together for double productivity.

What does the shipyard of the future look like?

We were able to provide five machines for the largest and most technologically advanced shipyard in the middle east – proving that our solutions differ from the competitors’ in one key aspect: our leading-edge technology.

This particular shipyard in the middle east needed a single provider to supply the bending machines, which had to meet technical specifications that other suppliers struggled with. Finally, the project had to be completed within a clearly defined timeframe.
