Old love never dies. After a longer break from Geberit, Roger Wyss returned three years ago to lead the product line for showers and bathtubs. His journey began in product management at Geberit in Switzerland, followed by a leadership role with Geberit in China, before he gained further experience in smaller companies. Coming back highlighted what matters most to him: culture, collaboration and support. 🚿

At Geberit headquarters in Rapperswil-Jona (CH), the Sigma40 actuator plate is assembled by hand across seven workstations. The process combines precision assembly with integrated quality assurance.

Each Sigma40 requires 34 documented steps. Button functionality is tested carefully to ensure consistent spacing and reliable operation. After packaging, every actuator plate is weighed to the gram before being shipped to the Geberit logistics centre in Pfullendorf (DE) for worldwide distribution.

Geberit’s social project in Kenya gave apprentices the chance to see the impact of their work first-hand 🛠️. At the Kagwe Girls School, they improved the sanitary facilities and thus the hygiene standards in the students' everyday lives.

But perhaps the most meaningful part: they learned from the girls as well. The students’ strong motivation and their appreciation for even small changes left a lasting impression on the team. A project that shows how powerful mutual exchange can be.
