Energy Vault Secures New South Wales State Development Approval for 125 MW / 1 GWh Stoney Creek BESS, Advancing Project Toward Construction.

The approval represents a key development milestone for Stoney Creek, resulting from a successful comprehensive environmental and planning assessment led by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, including public exhibition of the Environmental Impact Statement, consultation with government agencies and local stakeholders, and incorporation of project design refinements and consent conditions. Combined with Energy Vault's outright acquisition of the project, the approval substantially de-risks the project's remaining development path and accelerates its progression toward construction.

Construction is expected to commence in Q1 2027, with commercial operations beginning in H1 2028, subject to satisfaction of remaining conditions and customary project requirements. The project is supported by a 14-year Long-Term Energy Service Agreement (“LTESA”) awarded through AEMO Services under the New South Wales Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap. This major milestone marks another critical step in Energy Vault’s advancement of its Build, Own, Operate strategy and asset portfolio.

Energy Vault Expands Asset Vault Platform with Portfolio Acquisition of Goshe Energy Storage, Adding More Than 2.3 GW of U.S. BESS Projects, including 350 MW Ready to Build.

The portfolio includes two ready-to-build projects totalling 350 MW, both expected to reach commercial operations in Q1 2028. As part of the acquisition, Goshe's leadership team and development professionals, who bring more than 75 years of combined experience in project development, BESS project management and financial services, are joining Energy Vault. Energy Vault has also secured a credit facility commitment of up to $40 million from S2G Investments to support the portfolio's development, construction, and operations. This acquisition is a material step forward for Energy Vault's independent power producer business and build, own and operate model, adding a long-term, owned-asset platform designed to deliver predictable, recurring value.

Today we announced closure of financing on 275MW of Rolls-Royce MTU reciprocating engine generation capacity for hyperscale AI infrastructure.

The 275 MW of long-lead reciprocating engine generation capacity, utilizing proven Rolls-Royce MTU technology, will begin delivery in H2 2027.

The secured generation capacity strengthens our Powered Land solutions to accelerate speed-to-power, supporting current multi-Gigawatt onsite power infrastructure discussions underway for large-scale AI and high-performance computing campuses, while providing critical long-lead equipment as the we scale our Build, Own & Operate infrastructure model.

Another major step for the Stoney Creek BESS project.

Today, Energy Vault announced the completed acquisition of the project land for the 125 MW / 1 GWh Stoney Creek BESS in New South Wales, Australia, following FIRB government approval.

The milestone advances the project toward construction, now expected to begin in Q1 2027, with commercial operations targeted for H1 2028.

Supported by a 14-year LTESA, Stoney Creek will deliver eight hours of energy storage capacity to the New South Wales power system.

Italy's Council of Ministers has designated Energy Vault's Digital Vault Sulcis a program of pre-eminent national strategic interest.
The designation accelerates the administrative pathway for the project's remaining approvals, cutting "time to power" for an initial ~30 MW Edge AI data center in Sardinia, scaling toward 100 MW+.

It's another strong proof point for our Build, Own & Operate model expanding into AI infrastructure: powered land, energy infrastructure, and compute, built for long-term stability and performance.
