Another major step for the Stoney Creek BESS project.

Today, Energy Vault announced the completed acquisition of the project land for the 125 MW / 1 GWh Stoney Creek BESS in New South Wales, Australia, following FIRB government approval.

The milestone advances the project toward construction, now expected to begin in Q1 2027, with commercial operations targeted for H1 2028.

Supported by a 14-year LTESA, Stoney Creek will deliver eight hours of energy storage capacity to the New South Wales power system.

Italy's Council of Ministers has designated Energy Vault's Digital Vault Sulcis a program of pre-eminent national strategic interest.
The designation accelerates the administrative pathway for the project's remaining approvals, cutting "time to power" for an initial ~30 MW Edge AI data center in Sardinia, scaling toward 100 MW+.

It's another strong proof point for our Build, Own & Operate model expanding into AI infrastructure: powered land, energy infrastructure, and compute, built for long-term stability and performance.

Our Q2 2026 Financial Results Are Here.

Energy Vault’s Q2 2026 revenue more than doubled year-over-year, with backlog significantly expanding as we scale our energy infrastructure platform for the AI and data center market. See below for our key highlights from Q2 2026:

• Contract backlog expanded $650M to $2 billion, up 47% q/q and 107% y/y, driven by strong demand from the AI Compute Infrastructure segment.

• Q2 2026 revenue of $17.4 million, up 104% year-over-year, above consensus.

• GAAP gross margins of 31%, up 114% y/y and expanding 140 bps; Adjusted Gross Margin of 38.6%, up 166% y/y and expanding 900 bps.

• Cash grew 26% q/q to $148 million, the 6th consecutive quarterly increase, up 155% y/y.

• Global MW under operation, construction and RTB grew ~900MW y/y to ~1.1 GW, up 476%, on track to deliver initial $180M of recurring annual EBITDA over the next 18-36 months.

• Executed a contract for 1.25 GW of integrated power, storage and software infrastructure to support hyperscaler contracts in Texas, expected to generate near-term revenue of $500-600 million in 2H 2026 and 2027.

• Raising full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $270-310 million and lifting GAAP gross margin guidance to 20-25%.

Energy Vault Announces Strategic Agreement to Deploy 1.25 GW of Integrated Power Infrastructure for Hyperscaler AI Data Center with Leading Power Generation EPC Deploying Caterpillar Gensets.

The initial 1.25 GW deployment is backed by a hyperscaler customer contract for deployment in Texas, with initial deployments expected over the next four to twelve months. The agreement combines Energy Vault's battery energy storage, grid-forming technology and AI Infrastructure Control Software with partner’s turnkey power generation, Caterpillar genesets, and EPC capabilities, delivering firm, grid-independent power for gigawatt-scale AI campuses with always-on availability.
