🔥 Two mechanisms can explain why a standard liner wears out faster.

The first one is shape. A shape designed to suit everyone has to stretch to follow the contours of the residual limb. That permanent stretch is a constant mechanical load on the material, 24/7.

The second one is thickness. Without local adaptation, the silicone layer stays thin over the bony prominences — exactly where impact points tend to concentrate.

Thanks to a design built from the scan, Your® Liner allows thickness to be added precisely over the bony prominences, which can help reduce mechanical strain and, with it, wear in those areas.
