Un grand moment pour l'équipe ! 🌱☀️
Le 2 juin, aux côtés de nos partenaires JPee et Invenio, nous avons inauguré un démonstrateur agrivoltaïque unique à Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot, en France.
Cette installation de 2 000 m² associe notre solution insolagrin à des panneaux solaires semi-transparents et bifaciaux, ainsi qu'un écran de protection pilotable — permettant aux agriculteurs de contrôler en temps réel la quantité de lumière reçue par les cultures et de les protéger contre les intempéries. Le résultat ? Un microclimat optimisé qui protège les cultures tout en produisant de l'énergie propre.
🍓 Premières cultures testées : fraises et framboises — dans le cadre d'un programme de recherche pluriannuel piloté par Invenio, qui s'étendra ensuite aux carottes, poivrons, aubergines et asperges.
⚡ L'électricité produite alimente une boucle d'autoconsommation collective, fournissant une énergie renouvelable locale au site d'Invenio (~200 MWh/an).
🚜 La structure est entièrement compatible avec la récolte mécanisée — indispensable pour une production à grande échelle.
🤝 Un consortium franco-suisse soutenu par la Préfet de la région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, préfet de la Gironde et le programme européen Eurostars.
L'innovation au service du terrain, conçue avec et pour les agriculteurs. 💚

What a proud moment for the team! 🌱☀️
On 2 June, together with our partners JPee and Invenio, we inaugurated a one-of-a-kind agrivoltaic demonstrator in Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot, France.

This 2,000 m² installation combines our insolagrin solution with semi-transparent, bifacial solar panels and an adjustable protective screen — allowing farmers to control the amount of light reaching their crops in real time and shield them from extreme weather. The result? An optimised microclimate that protects crops while generating clean energy.
🍓 First up: strawberries and raspberries — with a multi-year research programme led by Invenio, expanding later to carrots, peppers, aubergines and asparagus.
⚡ The electricity produced feeds into a collective self-consumption scheme, providing locally produced renewable energy to Invenio's site (~200 MWh/year).
🚜 The structure is fully compatible with mechanised harvesting — essential for production at scale.
🤝 A Franco-Swiss consortium supported by Préfet de la région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, préfet de la Gironde and the European Eurostars programme.
Innovation rooted in the field, built with and for farmers. 💚

☀️🇨🇭 A great moment for Insolight

We had the honour of taking part in a Swiss Food & Nutrition Valley event with the President of the Confederation, Mr. Guy Parmelin.

Alongside Nestlé, AgroSustain, Vivent Biosignals and Voltiris, we exchanged on how to strengthen ’s position as a leading food nation and shape future food systems.

Our CCO, David Schuppisser, presented Insolight’s agrivoltaic solutions — showing how solar energy and agriculture can work together to support both the energy transition and food security 🌱⚡

A big thank you to EPFL and Swiss Food & Nutrition Valley for organising this inspiring event, and to all participants for the great discussions!

🌱⚡ Project update from Switzerland 🇨🇭

We’re nearing completion of our latest agrivoltaic installation — with just two rows of solar modules left to install.

With a total capacity of 755 kWp, this project is another step forward in combining renewable energy production with agricultural use.

„Wie wir von Milliwatt zu Megawatt gelangt sind“
Dies ist das Thema der Präsentation, die unser CEO Laurent Coulot an der PV Tagung 2026 halten wird (Session 5b – 1. April, 11:15).
Von den ersten Versuchen bis hin zu großflächigen agrivoltaischen Anlagen war Insolights Weg darauf ausgerichtet, Lösungen zu entwickeln, die sowohl der Energieerzeugung als auch der Landwirtschaft zugutekommen.
Hier ist ein kurzes Video, das einige der Installationen zeigt, die Teil dieser Entwicklung sind.
