Our tool after not 1 or 2, but >7 hours 😁 of roughing Invar 36 (1.3912)!

depth of cut (ap) 16mm
width of cut (ae) 1.2mm
feed per tooth (fz) 0.07mm
cutting speed (vc) 40 m/min

with its almost zero thermal expansion is a great material, but with its high nickel content, it is definitively difficult to machine!

We opted for a low cutting speed, well in the process damping range (see tap test picture), and maximum depth of cut. With Bl**er Swisslube B-Cool MC 660 coolant full on at 70 bar on our Fehlmann Versa 745.

Outstanding tool life on different tools, consistent tool wear... Optimum conditions for automated production. Lowest tool cost.

Thank you, Bl**er Swisslube!

Check out our new teaser video!

In September 2022, we made a plan on how we wanted BMK to look and how we wanted to work. Now everything we planned back then is running today. Definitely a big step forward! 😎
Not all was smooth, but we have great partners helping us! Thank you all very much!
