No racing? Then we find another way to make FS France count. 💛

Once it became clear that we would not be able to continue in the dynamic competition, we changed shifted our focus. Instead of packing up, we used the remaining days to prepare for the next season.

Our Mechanics Team reviewed this year’s designs, the Electrics Team used scrutineering to train the next generation of Team Leads, and we spent plenty of time exchanging knowledge with other teams, working on the next car and supporting our dear friends from Rennschmiede Pforzheim.

There is more to Formula Student than what happens on track. 📊⚙️

While our technical issues prevented us from competing in the dynamic disciplines at Formula Student France, we still had a full schedule ahead with the upcoming static events.

Across Engineering Design, Cost & Manufacturing and Business Plan Presentation, we had the opportunity to present our work, discuss our decisions with the judges and collect valuable feedback.

Especially with the next season already approaching, these discussions give us plenty to take back to Winterthur. There is still a lot to improve — and we already know where to start. 🏎️

FS France Recap, Part 1. 🇫🇷 Sometimes, scrutineering finds exactly what it is supposed to find. 🔍

Our start at Formula Student France took an unexpected turn during Accumulator Scrutineering when we discovered an issue with one of the pouch cells inside our accumulator.

With safety as the clear priority, the affected stack had to be taken out of operation. We assume a production fault and, fortunately, found no similar damage in the remaining stacks.

The issue ultimately meant that we could not progress further with the car in the competition. A frustrating outcome, but also an important reminder of why inspections and safety procedures are such a crucial part of Formula Student.

Even when we’re out of the country, taking our car to races & showing our skills on the international stage, we always know where home is. 🏁

For us, home is ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

ZHAW is an incredibly important partner to us. They don’t just provide us with the space, infrastructure and support we need to build and develop our car, they give us the freedom to pursue what we’re passionate about and turn our studies into real-world experience.

We’re constantly working on giving something back to our university and, most importantly, to the students who are part of it. Through initiatives like Project Plus, as well as talks and presentations, we can share what we learn throughout the project and inspire others to get involved. 💡

Being part of Zurich UAS Racing means more than just building a race car. It means learning how to work in an interdisciplinary team, taking responsibility, solving problems under pressure and gaining hands-on experiences that go far beyond the classroom. 🔧⚡

Thank you, ZHAW, for being our home, our partner and an important part of our journey. 💙
