We’re proud to announce that Holcim Switzerland is now the official referee partner of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation!

As part of our new multi-year partnership, our “Go Circular” message will be on the helmets of around 1,900 licensed referees across Switzerland.

Advancing decarbonization in Czechia with calcined clay 🚀

As Holcim innovates to accelerate decarbonization on our journey to become a net-zero company, novel cement formulations, including those using calcined clay, are an essential lever.

Using technology patented by Holcim’s R&D teams at our Čížkovice cement plant, we’re scaling calcined clay to partially replace clinker in cement — reducing the carbon footprint of ECOPlanet by around 30% compared with CEM I / OPC cement.

The new line is expected to save approximately 45 000 tonnes of CO2 annually, while using high-quality clay. By scaling this innovative technology, we’re strengthening our sustainable offering and advancing our NextGen Growth 2030 strategy.

From Czechia to markets across Europe and beyond, calcined clay is helping us to scale low-carbon cement and build the NextGen cities of tomorrow.

How can developers, architects, engineers, material suppliers and policy makers work together to address the housing gap? 🏗️

We hosted an official London Festival of Architecture (London Festival of Architecture) panel discussion at the Zaha Hadid Foundation (Zaha Hadid Foundation) to tackle this exact question.

As the housing shortage grows and there is an increasing focus on building resilient and energy-efficient homes, collaboration is key.

To build sustainable and inclusive cities, we must bridge the gap across all actors of the construction value chain.

Thank you to our incredible moderator, Isabel Allen, and our brilliant panelists from Peabody, Webb Yates Engineers, RSHP (RSHP), and the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) () for sharing their insights. Special thanks to the Zaha Hadid Foundation for hosting us in such an inspiring space! 🙌

BUILD WITH HOLCIM INSIDE

Rising over the Milan skyline, the Generali Tower by Zaha Hadid Architects houses offices set over 44 floors. The building, which appears to twist as it climbs, is built around a concrete structure that was developed using Holcim products.

A major milestone for Holcim UK and our flagship Tilbury Cement Terminal 🚀

🚢 The site has now commenced import and distribution operations, with the first deep-sea vessel successfully discharging materials as part of the facility's commissioning programme.

📍Strategically located at the Port of Tilbury, the new cement works will strengthen supply resilience across the South East while supporting more efficient logistics.

From concept to construction in just six months: a blueprint for scaling low-carbon innovation.

🤝 Together with Paebbl and GOLDBECK, Holcim Süddeutschland GmbH, Holcim recently delivered the first industrial floor slab in Germany using Paebbl’s carbon-storing supplementary cementitious material (SCM) in ready-mix concrete at commercial scale.

The project shows how collaboration across the building value chain can accelerate decarbonization without compromising performance:
✔ 15% cement reduction
✔ Permanent CO₂ mineralization
✔ Seamless integration into existing construction workflows
