COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE WHEN BUILDING THEIR FIRST HOUSE

Building your first house is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. It feels exciting, emotional, and sometimes overwhelming. But the truth is, many people make costly mistakes simply because they do not understand the process. Some of these mistakes delay the project, increase the cost, and even weaken the building.

Understanding these mistakes will help you avoid them and complete your project faster, cheaper, and with better quality.

Starting Without a Proper Plan

The biggest mistake most people make is rushing into construction without proper drawings. They rely on local experience instead of architectural and structural designs. This always leads to confusion, waste, wrong measurements, and expensive corrections. A building without a plan is a building headed for problems.

Underestimating the Total Cost

Many people start building without knowing the full cost of the project. They only think about buying blocks and cement but forget other expenses like workmanship, reinforcement, roofing, windows, doors, plumbing, and electrical works. This leads to abandoned projects. A bill of quantities helps you know what the entire project will cost from start to finish.

Using Cheap or Unskilled Workers

Trying to save money by hiring cheap labor usually becomes more expensive. Unskilled workers make mistakes, waste materials, and produce poor workmanship. You end up paying twice for the same job. Not Supervising the Project

Leaving your building entirely to workers is risky. Most first-time builders do not visit the site regularly. Mistakes go unnoticed. Materials get wasted. Workmanship drops. A project without supervision always costs more and takes longer.

Using Inferior Materials

Some people buy low-quality cement, substandard steel, weak blocks, or cheap roofing sheets just to save money. These choices weaken the building and cause cracks, leaks, structural failure, and huge future repair expenses. Quality materials may cost more initially, but they save you from suffering later.

Overdesigning or Overspending on Luxury

Using expensive tiles, foreign doors, rare roofing materials, or luxury interior finishes may look attractive, but they are not necessary during the early stages of a project. Focus on structural strength first. Luxury can always be added later when the building is complete.

Starting Too Big

Some people choose to build a mansion when their budget can only handle a two-bedroom. This leads to abandoning the project. It is smarter to start with a design that matches your budget. You can always expand later.

Changing Designs Midway

Changing your building design during construction is one of the fastest ways to waste money. When you alter foundation size, wall positions, beam dimensions, or roof type, you redo work you already paid for. Make all decisions before construction begins.

ADVICES FOR THE SINGLE GUYS‼️‼️

1. BE GOAL ORIENTED:
Stop chasing women, and FOCUS ON CHASING YOUR GOALS. Improve your economy, your value as a man increases when you are able to sustain yourself, and it will continue to increase when you have the ability to provide for others.

2. STUDY REGULARLY:
You can read the books you want, go to the conferences you want, but nothing happens if you don't have SELF-ESTEEM. When your self-esteem improves everything improves: your economy, your physique, your relationships, etc. If you don't have self-esteem, you're already at a disadvantage.

3. SPEND AND SAVE WISELY:
If you have no inheritance, if you have no financial support, if you don't have contacts, if you have great studies, or skills, do what a real man does: work, save, make capital. Don't borrow to buy luxuries, nor to play entrepreneurship. It's true that everything in life is risk, but it's not about taking risks for taking them. Simply if you are starting out DON'T OWE YOURSELF. Work, save, capitalize, that's how it starts.

4. PLAN,ACT WISELY:
person who wants to get ahead CANNOT AFFORD TO WASTE HIS TIME. Devote all your energy and hours possible to develop skills. What skills? Skills that help you make money: learn to sell, learn to write persuasively, learn to speak, learn to lead, learn another language, learn digital marketing, viralization, etc.

5. ACT RESPONSIBLY:
If you had children at a young age, behave like a man and take your RESPONSIBILITY. You're not the first and you won't be the last. You can be separated from the mom or move on with her, but no matter what, don't abandon your children, take on the role of a father to those creatures: be a provider, a protector, and a guide. Don't use your children as an excuse, use them as a motivation to overcome yourself

6. THINK ABOUT YOUR FUTURE:
Your future is not in another country, YOUR FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS. Acquire financial education and entrepreneurial mindset, that will open your eyes and you will start seeing opportunities where you used to only see problems. Europe is not what you think, America is not what you believe, Asia is not what you see, but instead you if you are MORE than you believe, act accordingly!

7. INVESR IN YOURSELF: If you're already in another city or country, make your decision worth all the effort. Don't work to be sending money to irresponsible, conformist and liars family members. Help your parents and/or your children if they really need it, but fundamentally INVEST IN YOURSELF, educate yourself financially, make capital, your goal should be to become an entrepreneur or investor.

8. LEARNING DOES NOT END IN SCHOOL:
Some people think that their education ended when they finished high school, others when they left university, on the other hand, successful people think that EDUCATION NEVER ENDS, so invest in training, books, mentoring, counselling, never stop learning!

9. STUDY FEMALE PSYCHOLOGY:
choosing the wrong person as a partner can ruin you. Nowadays feminism is hurting women a lot and the family is under attack. Dysfunctional homes are on the rise. There are many women, and men, emotionally damaged, so you must learn to spot the signs of a person with internal problems, or distorted behaviours. First of all, remember: to find a healthy woman, first you must have been healed, because if you're wrong, it's highly likely that you choose wrong, it all starts with you!

10. DO NOT BE DESPERATE:
Patience is underestimated, but really true wealth and true success require patience, a lot of patience. Rome wasn't built in a day. So don't run to run, don't wear out. You're living your best years, but the years ahead are even better.

Africa needs infrastructure, Africa needs development, but, the truth is that if we call on Europeans to build Africa's Infrastructure, Africa will be owned by Europe ; and if we call on Chiinese to develop Africa, Africa states will become a Chiinese Colonies

It is only when the African build and develop Africa then Africa can be owned by the African. Our develop must reflect our needs and our capabilities and not the mastercraft or capitals of others.

We must remember that development is a process, it is not a product that can be bought and be given to a society. This also means that anytime we call on others to develop our society for us, we deny ourselves, the opportunity of the process of learning and the opportunity of creating and accumulating capital in our society.

This is because while we build our own development, we gain experiences by doing and the process of developing also help us to build capital that are kept in the economy for maintenance and further development in other sectors. But, what happens when the development is done by outsiders? They go away with the skills and the financial capital, leaving our economy in a hollow state.
