What is the best time for breeding a doe?
Rabbits are induced ovulators. Corpulation is required for ovulation to take place. This ovulation phase is characterized by a surge in oestrogen hormone. Most farmers However forget to understand that the level of réception or acceptable of à male depends on several other factors. Some of which are Light, temperature, territoriales and feed. Rapid corpulations usually occurs in early mornings or late nights. The doe should always be brought to the buck cage and never the reverse. Also, adequate température and feed should be provided to ensure a high fegundity rate. Here is an example of a successful mating in the link below. Cattle brucellosis is endemic in Cameroon, with reported seroprevalence ranging from 2.3–30.8%. A recent study investigating brucellosis in domestic animals reported an overall seroprevalence of 6.4% (Eko et al., 2020). Prevalence was highest in cattle (9.1%) followed by sheep (8.0%), dogs (6.1%), pigs (1.9%), and goats (1.1%) kamga et al., (2020). Cameroon, therefore, possesses sufficient livestock that can sustain the presence of multiple Brucella spp.
The management of animal brucellosis in Cameroon so far has been complex. This difficulty has been mainly due to the uncontrolled movement of diseased animals (mainly cattle) within and outside the national territory (Awah et al., 2018). In addition, there is no surveillance system for detecting and slaughtering to eliminate infected cattle from the herds [4, 18]. A review of the literature on brucellosis research in Cameroon revealed that no study has been conducted in regions experiencing the urbanisation of cattle from the regions reported to be endemic for the disease (laine et al., 2020). In Cameroon, only one attempt has been made at speciating Brucella in a study by Mitterran et al., who revealed a prevalence of 18.4% for B. abortus and 1.7% for B. melitensis in cattle (Mitterant et al., 2020).

BRUCELLOSIS
It is an infectious and important zoonotic bacterial diesase caused by Brucella species and is characterized by abortion in late pregnancy. There are several species affecting farm animals; B. abortus in callte, B. melitensis in sheep and goats, B. suis in pigs, B. ovis in sheep, B. canis in dogs and B. neotomoe in rats.
- Each B. spp tends to affect a particular animal species. the bacteria grows on female and male reproductive organs in sexually mature animals. Infected animals serves as reservoirs of infection which often persist indefinitely.

BRUCELLOSIS IN CATTLE
- They are obligate parasites of the ge***al tract.
- Cows get infected by ingestion, inhalation or AI or natural service.
Infected cows secrete B. organisms in vaginal discharges, placenta, aborted foetus, milk.
- Abortion occurs in the 3rd trimester (7th and 8th month)
SYMPTOMS
Abortion, stilt birth, weak calf birth, retention of foetal membrane, epididymitis is observed in males.

BRUCELLOSIS IN PIGS
- Caused by B. suis.
- Transmission is through coitus
- Abortion is seen in 2nd and 3rd month of gestation
- Orchitis in infected boars.

BRUCELLOSIS IN SHEEP AND GOATS
- Transmission is san=me as in cattle; abortion in ewes; orchitis; epididymitis in bucks.

BRUCELLOSIS IN HORSE
- Caused by B. abortus and Actinomyces bovis.
- orchitis; accumulation of fluid in sc***um ; abortion in late gestation (7 to 9 months or third semester); retention of palcenta.

DAIGNOSIS
MRT, RBPT, and STAT are the main tests used to confirm the presence of Brucella.

TREATMENT AND CONTROL
- Treatment is inefectif.
- Vaccination is the most common way to protect the herd. this vaccination is cell mediated.

BRUCELLOSIS IN HUMANS
- humans are succeptible to B. melitensis, B. abortus, B. suis and rarely B. canis.
- transmission in humans occur through contact with secretions or excreations from infected animals.
- Routes of entry include skin abrasion, inhalation, and iningestion.
- Raw milk and dairy produce made with unpasturized milk are important source of infection.

SIGNS
Mild feaver; malaise; fatigue; muscle and joint paints; chill; fluctuating pyrexia, perspiration; Osteomyelitis.

PREVENTION
- in 60degree celsis for 10 minutes, the organism cannot survive. Pasturisation of milk kills the Brucella.
- Every disinfectants and detergents are lethal to brucella.
- Low pH is lethal to brucella and direct sunlight too.

MAIN SOURCE OF INFECTION
- Uterine discharge of infected animals; aborted foetus; infected semen

SPREAD MAINLY THROUGH
- Ingestion of contaminated food and water; AI; tail splashing of urine; conjuctival routes; veterinary activities; rural poor sanitary conditions.

Today is the world's brucellosis day. It is the world's most widespread of all zoonosis and has enormous economic impact on the animal industry.
