🇨🇲 Promotion du domaine pétrolier et gazier: après Octavia Energy, la SNH amorce avec MURPHY Oil l’exploration de 04 blocs

Au terme de deux journées de négociations intenses tenues les 20 et 21 août 2026 au siège de la SNH à Yaoundé, Nathalie Moudiki, Conseiller N°2 et Vice-présidente de la Commission Permanente de Négociation des Contrats Pétroliers et Gaziers (CPNCPG), a une nouvelle fois conduit, au nom de l’Administrateur-Directeur Général, les discussions avec Murphy Oil Corporation après celles avec Octavia.

Ces échanges se sont conclus par la signature du procès-verbal consacrant les avancées enregistrées avec le major américain, représenté par son Vice-Président, Simon Payne.

Les conclusions issues de cette étape constituent l’ossature principale des échanges en cours visant à la finalisation des Contrats de Partage de Production (CPP), dont la signature est envisagée dans les deux prochains mois entre l’État du Cameroun et Murphy Oil.

Ces négociations font suite à l’avis à manifestation d’intérêt lancé par la SNH en août 2025, portant sur neuf blocs pétroliers et gaziers libres situés dans les bassins de Douala-Kribi-Campo et du Rio del Rey. Cette démarche avait déjà abouti, le 14 août dernier, à la signature d’un CPP entre l’État du Cameroun et Octavia Energy, adjudicataire du bloc d’exploration de Bolongo.

🇨🇲 Promotion of the Oil and Gas Domain: After Octavia Energy, SNH Embarks on Exploration of Four Blocks with Murphy Oil

Following two days of intense negotiations held on 20 and 21 August 2026 at SNH head office in Yaoundé, Nathalie Moudiki, Adviser No.2 and Vice-President of the Standing Committee for the Negotiation of Oil and Gas Contracts (CPNCPG), once again led the discussions with Murphy Oil Corporation, on behalf of the Executive General Manager, following those held with Octavia.

These discussions concluded with the signing of minutes recording the progress achieved with the American major, represented by its Vice-President, Simon Payne.

The conclusions reached at this stage form the core framework of the ongoing discussions aimed at finalising the Production Sharing Contracts (PSC), which are expected to be signed between the State of Cameroon and Murphy Oil in the coming months.

These negotiations stem from the Call for Expressions of Interest launched by SNH in August 2025, covering nine free oil and gas blocks located in the Douala-Kribi-Campo and Rio del Rey basins. This initiative already led, on 14 August, to the signing of a PSC between the State of Cameroon and Octavia Energy, the successful bidder for the Bolongo exploration block.

Bolongo Exploration: le CPP officiellement remis à OCTAVIA ENERGY

Au lendemain de la cérémonie de signature du Contrat de Partage de Production du bloc Bolongo Exploration, présidée par le Ministre des Mines, de l’Industrie et du Développement Technologique, le Président-Directeur Général d’OCTAVIA ENERGY s’est rendu ce samedi 15 août 2026 au siège de la SNH.

Il a été reçu par Nathalie MOUDIKI, Conseiller N2, qui lui a remis officiellement, au nom de l’Administrateur-Directeur Général, le CPP Bolongo Exploration, désormais revêtu de toutes les mentions légales et des visas réglementaires.

Le PDG d'OCTAVIA Energy, Ahmed Nabil Hayel SAEED, a saisi cette occasion pour réaffirmer sa détermination à déclencher immédiatement le processus devant aboutir au démarrage des activités d'exploration, dans les plus brefs délais, sur ce bloc situé dans le bassin Rio del Rey.

La SNH quant à elle réaffirme ainsi son engagement à accompagner OCTAVIA ENERGY pour un développement rapide et bénéfique de ce bloc, conformément à la stratégie de valorisation des ressources pétrolières et gazières prescrite par le Chef de l’Etat, S.E Paul BIYA.

Bolongo Exploration : The PSC officially handed over to OCTAVIA ENERGY

After the signing ceremony of the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for the Bolongo Exploration block, presided over by the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, the Chief Executive Officer of OCTAVIA ENERGY visited SNH’s Head Office the following day, on Saturday 15 August 2026.

He was received by Nathalie Moudiki, Adviser No. 2, who, on behalf of the Executive General Manager, officially handed over the Bolongo Exploration PSC, now duly endorsed with all the required legal annotations and regulatory approvals.

The Chief Executive Officer of OCTAVIA Energy, Ahmed Nabil Hayel SAEED, took the opportunity to reaffirm his determination to immediately initiate the process leading to the start of exploration activities, as soon as possible, on the block located in the Rio del Rey Basin.

SNH thus reaffirms its commitment to supporting OCTAVIA ENERGY in the swift and successful development of this block, in line with the strategy to develop and enhance Cameroon’s oil and gas resources, as prescribed by the Head of State, H.E. Paul BIYA.

SNH – OCTAVIA ENERGY : des négociations fructueuses pour le bloc Bolongo Exploration

La Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH) et OCTAVIA ENERGY ont achevé les négociations relatives au Contrat de Partage de Production (CPP) du bloc Bolongo Exploration, au terme de deux journées de travaux au siège de la SNH. Les discussions se sont déroulées au sein de la Commission Permanente de Négociation des Contrats Pétroliers et Gaziers du Cameroun, constituée des représentants des ministères en charge des Mines, des Finances, de l’Economie, de l’Energie, de l’environnement et du Commerce.

Cette session finale de négociations, présidée par Nathalie MOUDIKI, Conseiller Nº2 de la SNH, représentant l’Administrateur-Directeur Général, s'est déroulée en présence d'Ahmed Nabil Hayel Saeed, Président-Directeur Général d’Octavia Energy.

OCTAVIA ENERGY a été sélectionnée le 30 mars 2026 à l'issue d'un Appel à Manifestation d'Intérêt international lancé par la SNH sur neuf blocs libres. Retenue au terme d'un processus ouvert et compétitif, l'entreprise a poursuivi les négociations avec l'État du Cameroun en vue de la conclusion d'un contrat équilibré, équitable et juste.

Tout au long des échanges, la SNH a réaffirmé sa mission première : défendre les intérêts de l'État du Cameroun, propriétaire des ressources du sous-sol, tout en créant un environnement attractif pour les investisseurs sérieux.

Le Contrat de Partage de Production (CPP) auquel sont parvenues les deux parties sera officiellement signé dans les prochains jours, conformément aux dispositions légales et réglementaires en vigueur au Cameroun; donnant lieu à un partenariat fondé sur la confiance, la transparence et l’intérêt réciproque. 🇨🇲

SNH – OCTAVIA ENERGY: Fruitful Negotiations for the Bolongo Exploration Block

The National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH) and Octavia Energy have concluded negotiations on the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for the Bolongo Exploration block, following two days of working sessions at SNH head office. Discussions took place within the Permanent Committee for the Negotiation of Petroleum and Gas Contracts of Cameroon, comprising senior SNH executives and representatives from the ministries responsible for Mines, Finance, Economy, Energy, Environment and Trade.

The final negotiating session, chaired by Nathalie MOUDIKI, Adviser No.2 at SNH, representing the Executive General Manager, was held in the presence of Ahmed Nabil Hayel Saeed, Chief Executive Officer of Octavia Energy.

Octavia Energy was selected on 30 March 2026 following an international Call for Expressions of Interest launched by SNH for nine free blocks.
Shorlisted through an open and competitive process, the company pursued negotiations with the Republic of Cameroon to conclude a balanced, fair and equitable contract.

Throughout the talks, SNH reaffirmed its core mission: to safeguard the interests of the State of Cameroon, owner of the subsoil resources, while fostering an attractive environment for reputable investors.

The PSC agreed upon by both parties will be officially signed in the coming days, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in Cameroon, paving the way for a partnership built on trust, transparency and mutual benefit.

Commercialisation des Bruts Kolé et Lokélé

La SNH, mandataire de l’Etat, s’est accordée avec PERENCO et ADDAX Petroleum sur les prix officiels des bruts Kolé et Lokélé, pour le compte du 2ᵉ trimestre 2026. Les discussions ayant abouti à cet accord ont eu lieu ce jeudi à Yaoundé dans le cadre de la Commission paritaire, instance statutaire dédiée à ces négociations.

Au cours de cette session du 2ème trimestre 2026, les trois partenaires ont analysé les données de la production nationale de pétrole (stocks, volumes, enlèvements) et pris en compte les cours du Brent, ainsi que les indicateurs du marché international avant de déterminer le prix de référence des bruts camerounais Kolé et Lokélé.

Un exercice essentiel pour garantir une commercialisation conforme aux réalités du marché et garantir des recettes à l’État du Cameroun.

S’exprimant au nom de l’Administrateur-Directeur Général de la SNH, Mme Nathalie MOUDIKI, Conseiller n°2 et chef de la Division juridique, a souligné que: « Si la fixation des prix demeure l’objectif de la Commission paritaire, la maitrise parfaite de la procédure d’enlèvement ainsi que des opérations de commercialisation est essentielle, dans une démarche de transparence entre associés et de justice envers le peuple Camerounais».

Marketing of Kole and Lokele Crude Oils

SNH, acting as agent for the State of Cameroon, has reached an agreement with Perenco and Addax Petroleum on the official prices for Kole and Lokele crude oils for the second quarter of 2026. The discussions leading to this agreement took place on Thursday in Yaoundé within the framework of the Joint Price Committee, the statutory body dedicated to these negotiations.

During this Q2 2026 session, the three partners analysed national oil production data—including stock levels, volumes and liftings—and factored in Brent crude prices alongside international market indicators before setting the reference prices for Cameroon's Kole and Lokele crude oils.

This exercise is essential to ensure marketing aligns with market realities and guarantees revenue for the State of Cameroon.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive General Manager of SNH, Mrs Nathalie Moudiki, Adviser No. 2 and Head of the Legal Division, emphasised that: “While price determination remains the objective of the Joint Price Committee, full mastery of lifting procedures and marketing operations is essential to foster transparency between partners and ensure fairness to the Cameroonian people.”

🎖️ Visite des auditeurs de la 21ᵉ promotion de l’ESIG à la SNH

La Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH) a accueilli une délégation d’Officiers Supérieurs Stagiaires de la 21ᵉ promotion de l’École Supérieure Internationale de Guerre (ESIG), ce lundi 20 juillet 2026.

Sous la conduite du Général Valère NKA, Commandant de l’ESIG, les auditeurs issus de plus d'une vingtaine de nationalités ont effectué une visite d'études s'inscrivant dans le cadre du grand domaine d'enseignement relatif au Management Leadership et Anticipation, autour du thème: « Les matières premières stratégiques comme enjeu dans la guerre économique : quelle posture pour la SNH ? ».

La rencontre placée sous la présidence de l’Administrateur-Directeur Général, le Ministre Adolphe MOUDIKI, a permis au directoire de la société d’entretenir la délégation de l’ESIG sur le rôle stratégique de la SNH dans la préservation de la souveraineté énergétique du Cameroun et sa contribution au développement économique national.

À travers des exposés, échanges et visites de stand et du Centre d’informations pétrolières, les 54 officiers supérieurs ont été édifiés sur les missions, les réalisations et les projets de la SNH en matière de sécurité nationale dans le domaine des hydrocarbures.

Occasion pour la SNH, par la voie de Nathalie Moudiki, Conseiller N2, représentante de l’Administrateur-Directeur Général de souligner que la stratégie de la SNH au regard des enjeux de défis géostratégiques actuels est fondée sur trois piliers : le renforcement de la souveraineté énergétique, la diversification des partenariats et l’anticipation stratégique. Une posture qui se traduit par une transformation locale des ressources pétrolières et gazières, la contribution à l’industrialisation du pays, et la consolidation de la gouvernance éthique du secteur des hydrocarbures.

🎖️ Visit of Course Members from the ESIG’s 21st Cohort to SNH

On Monday 20 July 2026, the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH) welcomed a delegation of Senior Officer Trainees from the 21st cohort of the International War College (ESIG).

Led by Major General Valere Nka, Commandant of the ESIG, course members representing around twenty nations undertook a study visit on the theme: “Strategic Raw Materials as a Factor in Economic Warfare: What Posture for SNH?”

The meeting Held under the chairmanship of the Executive General Manager, Minister Adolphe Moudiki, provided SNH’s management board with an opportunity to brief the ESIG delegation on the corporation's strategic role in safeguarding Cameroon's energy sovereignty and driving national economic development.

Through presentations, Q&A sessions, stand tours and a visit to the Petroleum Information Centre, the 54 senior officers gained comprehensive insight into SNH’s missions, achievements and projects relating to national security within the hydrocarbons sector.

The event provided an ideal platform for Mrs Nathalie Moudiki, Adviser No.2, acting on behalf of the Executive General Manager, to emphasize that SNH’s strategy in the face of current global geostrategic challenges rests on three core pillars: strengthening energy sovereignty, diversifying partnerships and strategic foresight.This posture is reflected in the domestic processing of oil and gas resources, contributions to national industrialisation and the consolidation of ethical governance across the hydrocarbons sector.
