The DFS targets mid-2026 completion, with construction to begin in 2027. Hosting 229 million tonnes at 28.9% TGC, the project ranks among the largest and highest-grade graphite deposits worldwide, with an estimated 60-year mine life.

The pre-feasibility study highlights a US$514M NPV and 35% IRR,
backed by EU Strategic Project status and investment from the EBRD.

is about to enter mass production in the Ordos Economic Development Zone, Inner Mongolia — marking the first industrial achievement of Tsinghua University’s Ordos Laboratory.

The historic Amitsoq graphite mine in southern Greenland is being revived. Led by GreenRoc Strategic Materials, drilling has defined 10.39 billion pounds of high-grade graphite averaging over 20% graphitic carbon,ranking Amitsoq among the world’s richest deposits.

The project aims to produce 80,000 tonnes of graphite concentrate per year with an IRR of 26.7%, and now includes a graphite anode materials plant to support Europe’s growing battery industry.

A new force is rising in the global graphite supply chain. Tanzania’s Mahenge region has launched a US$300 million graphite mining project,
jointly operated by Faru Graphite Corporation and Black Rock Mining of Australia.

The project is expected to run for more than 26 years. Built on a public–private partnership model — the Tanzanian government holds 16%, and private investors 84% — the project balances national resource interests with private-sector expertise, setting a new benchmark for cooperative mineral development in Africa.

With high-grade graphite reserves, hydropower, and deep-sea port access, Tanzania is now emerging as a key new hub in the global graphite supply chain. ⚡

China has announced new export controls on key battery materials used in electric vehicles.

Starting November 8, 2025, exporting LFP, manganese-rich cathodes, and graphite anodes will require government approval.

Manganese X Energy says North America must urgently build its own battery-materials supply chain.
