[Industry Update]
Sarytogan Graphite has awarded definitive feasibility study (DFS) contracts for its giant Kazakhstan graphite project to global engineering leaders Wood and WSP.
The DFS targets mid-2026 completion, with construction to begin in 2027. Hosting 229 million tonnes at 28.9% TGC, the project ranks among the largest and highest-grade graphite deposits worldwide, with an estimated 60-year mine life.
The pre-feasibility study highlights a US$514M NPV and 35% IRR,
backed by EU Strategic Project status and investment from the EBRD.
