The 2026 China Aluminium Processing Industry Annual Conference was held in Nanning, Guangxi from June 24 to 26. Centered on the theme "Stay Focused on Our Own Business and Navigate An Uncertain World", the conference brought together practitioners from the whole industrial chain of China’s aluminium processing sector. In-depth discussions were carried out covering capacity regulation, technological upgrading, green manufacturing, applications in emerging industries, and development of foreign trade markets.
Faced with overcapacity and slowing demand for traditional construction aluminium materials, participating enterprises reached a consensus. They will strictly curb low-end production capacity, focus on industrial aluminium products for new energy and high-end manufacturing, and break fierce homogeneous competition through technological innovation. Meanwhile, businesses will optimize export arrangements, explore emerging overseas markets, and standardize compliance procedures for foreign trade. A number of industry-university-research and industrial chain cooperation projects were concluded at the event, charting a clear path for the transformation and upgrading of the aluminium processing industry.
