Inside a Large Mining Camp Project in Argentina π¦π·
Hundreds of modular units. A remote mining site. And a camp that needs to support daily life and operations.
In 2026, WELLCAMP supplied its Standard Detachable Container House system for a large mining camp project in Argentina.
The site presented several challenges, from severe sandstorms and intense UV exposure to sharp temperature changes and the high cost of transporting conventional building materials to remote locations.
To meet these demands, the camp was planned around three priorities:
π’ Efficient transportation: Up to 16 sets of container components can fit into one 40 foot high cube container.
ποΈ Practical on site assembly: Factory prefabricated wall panels, roof panels and base frames help simplify installation.
π A camp built for daily operations: The layout includes worker dormitories, a large staff canteen, offices, conference rooms and an on site command center.
Reinforced steel frames, rock wool insulated panels and sealed joints help the buildings cope with the demanding desert environment.
The project shows how modular camp planning can bring accommodation, workspaces and shared facilities together at a remote mining site.
