HPY Company Update | Launch of Minex Subsidiary in Chengdu

We are excited to announce the establishment of Chengdu Minex Technology Co., Ltd., HPY’s new subsidiary based in Chengdu, China, dedicated to the research and development of high-power industrial X-ray sources for applications.

In , most ores must be able to detect 74μm (200 mesh) to achieve sufficient recovery and meet industrial sorting standards. Recognizing the critical role of X-ray sources, HPY strategically invested in pioneering R&D in this field.

The Chengdu team has successfully developed the world’s first industrialized high-power X-ray source with a precision of 50μm. For complex ores with fine dissemination, the team also engineered a highly stable, low ripple X-ray source, and customized specialized target materials for copper ore recognition, enhancing imaging quality through a high-efficiency cooling design.

This marks a major leap from relying on medical CT X-ray sources a decade ago to today’s mining-specific, high-energy X-ray technology, paving the way for more efficient ore sorting of previously challenging deposits.

As copper continues to dominate headlines—ranging from record-high prices to market fluctuations and new trade policies—HPY Technology offers a timely reminder: making the most of your existing resources is just as critical as securing new ones.

At the Yunnan Pu’er Copper Mine, our Circle Series C1500 machine has been successfully deployed to upgrade the feed grade before flotation. Targeting particle sizes from +10–60mm, the system has doubled the copper grade from 0.1–0.2% in the raw ore and now achieves 1,800 tonnes per day with just 16 hours of daily operation.

Designed for high-throughput mines with limited space, our Circle Series combines 360-degree aerial imaging with HPY’s proprietary detection technology to deliver higher efficiency and smarter sorting.
