Silway 8240 is a solvent-free silicone release coating specifically designed for applications such as pressure-sensitive adhesive lamination, release paper for label stock, and technical tape liner coating. Its core component is a reactive siloxane polymer with 100% active ingredients, featuring a colorless and transparent appearance, a viscosity of 420 mPa·s at 25°C, and a density of 0.97 g/cm³.
The product offers significant advantages: its solvent-free formulation meets environmental requirements, and the fast-curing property satisfies high-efficiency production needs; the low platinum (Pt) concentration system ensures stable release force while reducing noble metal costs. Typical applications include single/double-sided industrial paper and non-stick packaging materials, with the ability to precisely control release force by adjusting HRA/LRA additives.
During use, the coating, crosslinker, and catalyst should be mixed at a ratio of 100:3.0–3.4:0.8–1.0, and the pot life is approximately 6 hours below 25°C. It should be stored in unopened containers at below 30°C with a shelf life of 24 months. Protective equipment is recommended during operation to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Balancing performance and economy, this product provides a reliable solution for industrial release scenarios.
