A 29MW floating solar plant now operates on a salt pan in China's Shandong province. The water is highly corrosive—10x saltier than typical fresh water. Under such conditions, most solar equipment would fail.

But we did it.

Using specialized anti-corrosion floating solar system from , the project now generates 30.16 million kWh of clean power annually, proving that even the toughest environments can be tapped for clean energy.

It's not just about generating green electricity. It's about:
➡ Cutting 23,500 tons of CO₂
➡ Saving 9,900 tons of coal
➡ Expanding the map of where floating solar is possible.

The Jining floating solar power project has officially been connected to the grid, featuring 68 MW of Sungrow FPV’s floating solar system.

This project comes with a unique challenge: the site is located in a subsidence area, where continuous underwater collapse creates risks for traditional anchoring solutions. To address this, Sungrow FPV introduced its three-section elastic mooring system, which:

🔹 Adapts to subsidence of up to 3 meters
🔹 Enhances reliability while lowering O&M costs

With this adaptive solution, the plant is equipped to withstand uncertain terrain changes while ensuring stable, long-term power generation.
