What happens when you run a 100-year-old wastewater tech with a modern drivetrain?
At 2026 in Seoul, Prof. Alexandre Lebel presented our research on the use of contactless magnetic drivetrains to address the age-old problem of corrosion in Rotating Biological Contactors. RBCs have been a simple, efficient wastewater solution for a century, but corrosion has always been their weak point. We eliminated that problem using a contactless magnetic drivetrain. By retrofitting this legacy technology with modern innovation, we're creating a more sustainable and reliable path for global treatment.
