Dayang Technologies welcomed students from Bachelor's Primary School to a scientific and technological wonderland, where they participated in a range of engaging activities!

Initially, the children explored our exclusive Museum dedicated to vector insects. Here, they delved into the fascinating world of these tiny yet significant creatures, acquiring fresh insights and marveling at the intricacies of insect life.

On the 5th floor, within the activity room, they watched videos highlighting the crucial role of a robust scientific and technological nation, gaining a richer appreciation for science and technology. Through interactive discussions, many young minds shared their perspectives on technology, thereby enhancing their critical thinking skills.

Finally, the students had the opportunity to craft their own mosquito repellent tokens. Teachers ensured safety by handling the wax melting and pouring processes, while the students selected their preferred floral arrangements to embed in the wax, creating various unique designs.

Heinrich Hermann Robert Koch, a German doctor and scientist, is credited with identifying the specific causes of various deadly infectious diseases like tuberculosis, cholera, and anthrax, earning him the title of one of the pioneers of modern bacteriology. Alongside Louis Pasteur, he is known as the father of microbiology and medical bacteriology. His groundbreaking discovery of the anthrax bacterium in 1876 marked a significant milestone in the field of bacteriology, laying the foundation for the germ theory of diseases and revolutionizing public health practices. Koch's innovative methods in bacteriology gave rise to Koch's postulates, a set of principles crucial in determining the link between pathogens and specific diseases, influencing epidemiological criteria. Despite the controversy surrounding his tuberculin treatment for tuberculosis, which was later found to be ineffective for treatment but valuable for diagnosis, Koch's contributions to the field earned him the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1905.

The children from Song Yingxing class at Bachelor Elementary School were warmly welcomed to the Ningbo Dayang Vector museum. The students, full of curiosity, attentively listened to Mr. Zheng's explanations of professional knowledge and diligently took notes in their notebooks. Despite their limited vocabulary, they were able to effectively understand the important information.

The Ningbo Dayang Vector Biology Museum, the first of its kind in the city and the only one in Zhejiang Province, showcases a variety of specimens, models, images, and videos of vector organisms such as mosquitoes, rats, and cockroaches. Additionally, it provides valuable insights on vector-borne diseases, their risks, and prevention methods.

Furthermore, the museum also features displays of essential oils like rose, peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus, and geranium, each with a distinct fragrance obtained through extraction. These fragrances act as a natural repellent against mosquitoes, utilizing scents that these insects find unpleasant to keep them at bay.

The visit to the Dayang Vector Biology Science Museum allowed the children to expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons, laying a solid foundation for their future educational pursuits.

Paul Ehrlich, a distinguished German physician and scientist, was awarded the Nobel Prize for his groundbreaking work in hematology, immunology, and antimicrobial chemotherapy.

Renowned for his experimental prowess, Ehrlich made significant contributions to microscopy, tissue staining, embryology, chemotherapy, and immunology. His conceptualization of the chemical interaction between antigens and antibodies through a ‘lock and key’ mechanism was pivotal in advancing the understanding of infections.

He was responsible for the discovery of arsphenamine, known as Salvarsan, the first antibiotic and the initial successful treatment for syphilis, thereby marking the beginning of chemotherapy and coining the term.

Ehrlich also pioneered the idea of a "magic bullet" and played a crucial role in the development of an antiserum to fight diphtheria, as well as devising a method to standardize therapeutic serums.

When communicating with clients about our products, it is essential to always have data readily available. Data plays a crucial role in assessing the feasibility of a product for both purchasing and selling. It allows us, as well as our clients, to distinguish between facts and opinions.

Data is tangible, measurable, and stems from scientific experiments, making it reliable and hopefully reproducible. Without data to substantiate claims, we would only rely on subjective views regarding a product's efficacy, which is not conducive to successful business operations.

The young adventurers from Qingteng Academy embarked on a journey to the Ningbo Dayang Vector Biology Museum, where Bai guided them through a world of science and technology.

In the interactive animation area, they enthusiastically stomped on mosquitoes for countless years, filling the air with laughter and excitement.

They observed various specimens, engaged in fun trivia interactions, and delved into the mysteries of vector transmission, sparking creativity among the budding scientists.

During the Essential Oil Tour, they strolled amidst plant columns, discovering the art of essential oil extraction and immersing themselves in the captivating scents that piqued their curiosity.

With microscopes in hand, they explored the vibrant world of microorganisms, each student embracing their inner scholar in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

Their focus then shifted to the fascinating applications of light, where they marveled at the intersection of science, technology, and art in a beautiful display.

Diving into the realm of mosquitoes, the experts unveiled the ecological intricacies, diseases transmission, and other valuable insights through a professional presentation. Through interactive Q&A sessions, the young explorers engaged with the experts, sharing their thoughts and expanding their understanding of mosquitoes' enigmatic world.

At Qingteng Academy, the little explorers indulged in crafting handmade incense sheets at the Vector Science Museum, where the aromatic scents captivated their senses. From melting wax cubes to infusing lavender and orange blossom, they created colorful scented tablets, turning wax into unique works of art. This hands-on activity not only exposed them to the beauty of essential oils but also instilled in them a deeper appreciation for science, all while sharing joy and laughter.

Louis-Daniel Beauperthuy, a French doctor, played a significant role in advancing the understanding of infectious diseases like yellow fever, malaria, cholera, and leprosy. He was the first in Europe to propose that malaria and yellow fever were spread by mosquitoes.

After an earthquake in 1853 in Cumaná, outbreaks of yellow fever, smallpox, and cholera occurred. Beauperthuy was tasked with investigating the situation. In his 1855 report in the Official Gazette of Cumana, he noted the presence of moving pathogens in the stool samples of cholera patients. He also suggested that yellow fever was caused by a virus transmitted by mosquitoes, a groundbreaking idea at the time.

Beauperthuy identified the specific type of mosquito responsible for transmitting yellow fever as the "domestic species" of "striped-legged mosquito," known today as Aedes aegypti. Despite his findings, the medical community at the time rejected his mosquito theory in favor of the prevailing belief in miasma theory. His contributions to the understanding of insect-borne diseases were not fully appreciated until much later.
