History of Rubber Machinery Belts
Primitive conveyor belts had been used since the 19th century. The inverter of this excellent product was Thomas Robbins who began doing research on rubber conveyors back in 1892 and he invented a series of different types of rubber conveyor belts that became the leading point of the idea of developing rubber conveyor belts. The primary goal for which these belts were designed was to carry coal, ores and other similar types of product. later back in 1901, Sandvik started working on steel conveyor belts and had invented these steel conveyor belts eventually.

After Sandvik got success in inventing steel conveyor belts, in 1905 Richard Sutcliffe designed a conveyor belt which was best suited for coal mines which gave mining industry a different vision and revolutionized the industry at the same time. The invention and production of conveyor belts continued to be worked on as in 1913, Henry Ford invented conveyor belts which were especially designed by Ford Motor company.

In 1972, New Caledonia, the longest straight belt conveyor in the world were recreated by the French society, the length of these belts was 13.8km. B.F Goodrich Company got its conveyor belts patented in 1957 and the company continued the production of Turnover Conveyor Belt System. This company offer belts which were not only strong in nature but also very durable and would last longer than any other products available at that time. the production of mobius strip belts had stopped back then as a result these type of belts were no longer manufactured as untwisted modern belts were made in such a fashion which gave them more durability.
